No, my expectations were realistic. Didn't expect any scratch or chip protection. The idea was to protect the car from elements and remove the need of a regular wax while still using my weekly wash process. Overall I found the gloss from CC wasn't anywhere near as good as a fresh normal wax from wash to wash. The water beading effects was nice but create more water spots in the long run due to concentrating the water/minerals in one bead. So when they did settle, as a result of not being able to polish or clay bar, are a lot more difficult to remove. Any chips, scratches or cosmetic issues you do want to fix with proper autobody techniques will require the CC coat to be reapplied on that panel. Overall I didn' feel it made anything better or easier.
Sorry lol maybe it didn't come out the right way, English isn't my first language that wasn't my intention. Just mean that like dealers and others will often over market what it really does.

But yeah I see, depends on what brand/product to I guess.

"Not trying to shit on you but..."

I've read that multiple times today from multiple users. It needs to go away.

Do you think PPF is needed if it’s always garaged inside and only driven 5k miles a year.

Need is hard to quantify. I would personally do it even at 5k miles per year if I planned to keep the car longer term.

Just like you can have an accident a few blocks from where you live, you can still have damage to the paint from rock chips, etc under 5,000 miles.

IMHO, if you are investing in a really nice car like my Z4 M40i or any more expensive M car you should do it.

I would not invest in PPF for my wife's 228i.
