the detailer that OP encountered is probably the same guy who's been putting up flyers in my town advertising "Tint! 5 windows for $70! Call ###-###-####" I was so tempted but didn't think it was worth the risk. (they will either mess up my windows or use the price to rob me)

IPA wipe rather than washing saves time for some detailers because they usually go panel by panel when polishing with multiple stages. They IPA wipe the panel after completing a polishing stage and move on to the next stage. For home users who just 1 pass polish the whole car, washing is faster than IPA wiping each panel.
Hello

I just picked up Carbon Black 2024 X5 a couple of weeks ago.

I can see 1-2 spider webs on the hood and a thin hairline scratch on the clear coat. It was probably done during transportation.

I’m going to do the GYEON Q² CANCOAT EVO ceramic spray coating.

Btw it's leased, but I treat BMWs as my own car...lol

Does this sequence make sense?

1. Foam wash.

2. Carpros Iron X

4. 2 Bucket Wash

5. Meguiar Ultimate Polish or Griots Boss Perfecting cream to remove swirl marks and light scratches before coating.

Which one is preferred?

6. Wash and Dry to remove oils

7. Final wipe with Gyeon Q²M Prep before spray coating

8. GYEON Q² CANCOAT EVO ceramic spray coating
