I hate black wheels with a passion, but at least those 951 wheels in the pictures are better than the 952 wheels that look like a kitchen sink drain plug.

Please explain.

What are the design elements you find appealing? And what do you ‘feel’ from the design.

I genuinely would like to understand, being one of the folks on the forum here that struggles to find a lot of positives with this model, or the XM for that matter.

who cares, let each person enjoy their own vehicle. trolling/hating a car has got to be one of the most beta things to do

Is it just me, or does the M Performance diffuser look overly bulky, cheap, and out of place.

I appreciate the change in the normal design language. Asside from the power train and response to throttle (amazing) the design language screams future. The only time I hear hate or dislike for the XM is on this forum but in real life everyone has nothing but positive things to say about the looks. A primary complaint I do have is that the interior dash should’ve looked something like the new 7 series and M5.

Also the XM has a road presence. Now as far as the F90 and G90. Both look amazing but the G90 follows that design language that the XM has.

It is similarly chaotic to the XM. . . Can really feel the same "design" language if I can use the term loosely. The lines of a big sedan should make it sleeker, sportier, shrink it. . . With the XM you literally have the excuse of "Giant SUV go fast" or Frankenstein as noted above, but the lines (and the convex/concave panels) really stand out and clash even more with the Frozen paint. At least there is a centered roundel in the back of this car unlike that one and they didn't just paint an afterthought on the rear glass.

To me, it looks like one person started this design and then 3 others finished it - there is a conflict of some kind. I'm not here just to bring in my "ire" and be negative, I know everyone is tired of the bashing of this car. . . I'm trying to be objective instead of just saying "I don't like it."
agreed.

You guys are funny 😄

People today: I hate the new car and love the old car

Seven years later when the next gen comes out: I hate the new car and love the old car

There’s a pattern here… I can feel it

I think you’re on point ! No one ever likes a big change, but BMW is going in the Electric/ hybrid direction on everything. Facelifts always get away with much Praise.
I have seen the New M5 and I have sat in it , Does it overly excite me no, But wil I own one one day, the odds are pretty good, but in due time. I am a huge M fan and just got my 10th M this week. I think once the dust settles and the people that actually own them and talk about them, others will come around. The car is definitely polarizing, it is big and its heavy. But very comfortable and fast. So the older you get the more it may apeal to you… And I have never been a “Wagon” guy but I think the Touring is pretty cool…

yes. the glue on carbon bits do nothing but add minor weight. hate them. mirror caps, “diffusers”, bumper lips (unless they are actually functional, which bumper lips can be)

I see too much hates but at the end of the day it is what it is.
New M5 and the only M5 option for next 7 years...
Time to reconcile with this big buddy

Exactly... From E9x to F8x and then F8x to G8x... The same thing
