Could be worse, could sound like the S58.

I have an MPE on my current F90 and that really materially improves the exhaust note.

I’m assuming BMW will offer an MPE option for this platform for those who prefer not dealing with any warranty issues or prefer a port-installed option.

There will also be plenty of axle-back and cat-back options from the usual aftermarket companies.
Look how big is this resonator (could not fit in 1 pic lol)
No wonder why the sound is so mute l

Jesus, that's the same resonator on the X6M. Boy i cant wait to cut out that bitch and install an H pipe in it's place. I did that on my 21 X6M, it did wonders to wake the car up with out being obnoxiously loud.

The transmission maybe in an adaptive/self learn mode for the first few hundred miles.

I would wait and pass judgement after your first service and things get broken in.

The other thing I’m noticing is extensive amount of winter condensation vapor from exhausts after cold start. It seems to create a cloud plume whenever I crank it up in the morning, i don’t remember that in my other cars
What is your regenerative setting? Remember the EV side is on the tranny so it's collecting energy when coast and slowing down when you're using the brakes... so it's a feeling eventually you will adjust to... its like a negative drag on the tranny if that makes sense.

I keep it at mid, you’re right it has a drag but keeps my ev charge up. Do you think it adds to the brake dust? I feel like it’s even more excessive than my previous M’s.

No,i don't think it would add any as your applying the brakes and that is when it's adding extra juice back into the battery if the brakes are in use. If no brakes its not applying brakes to charge the system. Brake dust is the pads and could also appear worse on dark rims.

When you are coasting my understanding is the ev motor on the tranny is adding drag off the spin of the tranny to recharge.

It would explain why different shift modes feel weird and or it does a weird upshit/downs as it's in my opinion changing gears off throttle as the ev motor drags on the tranny.

I've adjusted to this in the XM and just leave it in max, but I've also got 9k on the clock and it's broken and tranny logic has learned my driving style.

It looks like Supersprint has a lot of options now.

Downpipes, lowered downpipes (replaces second cat), and mid pipe (replaces third cat and resonator)

Are you pulling the paddles in D mode (so overriding the auto mode) or did you switch to sequential first to be fully manual mode ?

It is basically straight piping the car
I went underneath the car again today and i confirmed it has 2 resonators
One big one and another one in the back other then the rear mufflers
Maybe best go to a muffler shop and remove the big one and see how it sounds
Although i have a secondary catless dp at home i am still lost what to do
This car has no sound oitside
My wifes x5 40 i is louder lol
I may have to wait for after market options
I am not paying 2k for a straight pipe
This is supersprint is overpriced
