Used a few, to include Adams, Technician's Choice, etc. Thought I'd settled on Gyeon, but am now using Chem Guys Hydrospeed. For now, I prefer CG's detailer for its application characteristics and results. I still, however, also use (nearly religiously) Gyeon's Wet Coat.

This from Westside Guy

I have so many on my shelf that I would not know where to start.

I will say that an expensive price does not necessarily make it better. I have done half my car in $150 plus coating and the other half in $30-50 coatings and I can't tell the difference. My colour car is Portimao Blue. I do apply a topper with every wash even if its not necessary...I have to use these products up now lol.

I have the GTechniq 9 year ceramic coat done to my RS3 and the detailer gave me their quick detailer but also said the chemical guys products are pretty good. Not sure what the dire cry is for.

How long does that combo last (for you) before you uave to reapply CanCoat? I had been thinking of this combo for my ppf'd car. There are only a few theoretical years left on the ppf so I didn't want to go full bore and CanCaot was easy enough to apply and not worry about leveling.

My understanding (from watching a lot of YouTube videos - so take it with a grain of salt) is to not apply any coating because a good ceramic coating will reject it since nothing is supposed to stick to it - so for the most part it will be money wasted. If it does appear to stick, it will degrade quickly. Best advice I saw was to maintain the ceramic with regular gentle washes and in a couple of year repeat the ceramic application. Perhaps not the answer that you were looking for

Here is one video:

Deffo a good two months even through the salty winter. I spray it on everything.

Is that the older version of CanCoat? I thought the updated version lasted a year or so. I think the older/original version was 2-3 months.

Sorry, I misread your post - I thought you'd said WetCoat.

CanCoat indeed lasts much longer. A year or so yeah
