2000 E46 328i has like 193 hp?... but then again, it is a V6 and TSX is a 4 cyl.

I drove E46 sedan 328i and the TSX, I'd have to say I disagree with you and the 328i power is raw and it pulls faster at low RPM.. at least thats how I felt anyway. didnt dyno both cars, but E46 > TSX..

The manumatic is on paddles only (can't shift with the lever).

Acura was doing fine with the previous TSX/TL. They lost me with the new ones.

The reason the TSX is a great car is because it was so much cheaper than a 3 series, with all the features you get. Now being the same price as a 328i, with an extra 50hp, I don't think the value is there anymore. This might put a lot of people off, "well I can get a BMW for the same price, whats 50hp". Thats just my opinion.
If I had to spend $32,000 for a new car. Definitely pick a 3 series over the TSX. Even with the V6 it still can't compare with the 328.

Acura used to be the manufacture who had perfect looking models.
CL-S/RL/NSX/integra/MDX/Legend etc..
Now it's bunch of nasty looking models everywhere.
Too nasty to even touch.

I own my 328i for 7 yr and my tsx for 5 yr.
I can drive back to back everyday until I got my 335i. I think I know more than you just drove it once. Also the MT tsx is a different animal then the AT one.

I agree... I have a friend with a TSX auto-tran. It's nowhere near as responsive as mine with the 6MT. The TSX feels quite a bit different with the MT, the AT was just too mushy for me.

I haven't driven the new TSX at all. But if the steering is really dumbed down like people say it is, I can't imagine what putting a V6 in it will do. It'll drive like a big TL with less interior stuff in it. Ugh.

When I bought my '04 TSX, I tried the TL first... that's what I was planning on getting, the TL. Then I drove the TSX and fell in love with the sporty nature of the car. Sounds like that whole character has been thrown out the window. Too bad.

Instead of using that heavy Accord-V6, why can't they try it with the RDX-style turbo 4-cyl? That would be much more compelling to me.

always good to have options. glad acura did it but it will be hard trying to actually get that power to the ground though, especially in low speed corners. (camry with the 3.5L motor is a great example of that problem)

Something is wrong with your 328 then.

A stock TSX has a 15.7 1/4 mile (hell edmunds had it at 16.2 and it was a manual)

A stock 2000 328i does it in 15.2 (same edmunds got the 328 in 15 flat and achieved 16 flat in a 2000 323 convertible)

Not saying the TSX is bad its not at all, but a 328 should be noticeable faster and I feel something is off with yours. (coming from a fellow E46 owner)

all jokes aside, post #37 is pretty sad.

There was a poll on acurazine the other day asking "how often do you use your navigation system." A shocking amount (around 40% or so) said every day, while the majority (50%) said once a month. And then there were the handful that rarely ever use it. I thought to myself, why in the blue hell do you need to use your navigation system everyday...

...Then I remembered back in 2002 when I had a navigation system that actually responded the second I pressed a button, and would let me search for things by name, and had it's own dedicated interface... and then I realized that I used to use my navigation system on the TL everyday.

I love my 335, but damn if BMW isn't so behind on some things (who the hell puts a cd changer in the trunk)

I have a 2000 E46 and it is every bit the equal of and then some of the TSX. I drove the new TL before I got my 335 and that car drove like crap, great interior and good value but beyond numbing drive. Car felt very lazy and slow to respond and I would hate to try and flog that chassis thru any corners. Have not seen nor heard anything on the new Type-S so the jury is out on that. As far as price point goes 34K for the TSX, I got my 08 335 for less than 10K more and there is no comparison there. Like that blue Honda though if I were 20 again, not likely

Acura? Epic. Fail.

Add my name to the former TSX owners: An 06 MMC Carbon Grey 6MT.

Terrific daily driver, perfectly mated I4/6MT, not fast but quick enough to have a little fun, FWD but no torque steer and very tossable, outstanding NAV/Bluetooth/instrumentation, great mileage, made in JP with exceptional fit and finish. All and all, a best buy, all for under 30K.

Fast forward to the second gen, 09 TSX.

Exterior: Fail.
Interior: Fail.

Test Drive: "Is the steering supposed to be this way?" "Yes, its improved."

Acura: Next gen RL, TL, and TSX. Power Plenum. Epic. Fail.

BMW 328 vs. TSX? You must be joking.

yeah, the K23 turbo motor would be a much better fit for the TSX than a V6. I liked the previous model TSX and almost got one, but it was sold out from under me. I'm kinda happy though, because I do like the e90 a lot, and probably wouldn't have even considered the car if the TSX hadn't sold (I only had hondas/acuras for the last 18 years).
