Most people just know doomsday because of the mayan calendar, but there are many scientific facts to back this up...

We can put all the superstition aside, just scientiifically, in around december of 2012, there should be a polar shift, which results in tsunamis, earthquakes, and so on...

There would also be a blackhole in between the sun and the earth, affecting the earth's orbit...pushing it further from the sun...

and many more...

The polar shift has been proven to be true, but this second part about the black hole is just insane. As of now, the closest theorized black hole is 1600 light years away, but even the existence of this black hole has neither been proven nor directly observed. It is rather merely inferred based on the lack of visible interstellar matter on the scale that would warrant the radiation bursts and trajectories that we have measured around that region.

Stating that a black hole would just happen to be "between the sun and the earth" without proof or even a link is pointless. Plus, the gravitational field generated by the black hole would draw the earth closer to the sun, not push it further away.

The source for the blackhole statement was from an article I was reading during my research in doomsday with google. I will try to find the link again later tonight when I'm done with my work...

But if the point on blackhole is bogus, I guess I will apologize? But to be more specific, the blackhole does not just appear, I was trying to express that the earth would revolve around the sun until a blackhole directly blocks the sun from the earth. The blackhole does not just appear...it's there already...

If there really is a pole shift, we're pretty much screwed. The magnetic field is what stops the sun's rays microwaving the shit out of us, so if we had a polar shift, there would a point in time where the polarity is neutral during the shift. At that time, technically we'd have no way of protecting ourselves from the sun's radiation and that from space in general.

I think this whole thing is a little blown out of proportion, they say we're supposed to have a polar shift in 2012, but aren't we already overdue for one? Besides, a polar reversal wouldn't necessarily be instantaneous. It's not like an armageddon act that just happens all at once. If you look at the sun, which does a pole reverse every 5 or so years, it takes months to reverse poles. I mean it's not to say if we do flip poles, we're going to be fine, there's going to be a probably of many months I'd guess that there's going to be a crapload of natural disasters, but I doubt it's going to be instantaneous.

there are many theories but there is just only one answer. if the world is going to end "like sooo many people" believe so, then why are you sending your kids to school ? why are you still trying to save up for your 401k ?? why are you still working overtime ??? and besides if its going to happen i am pretty sure humans will most likely fail to save the humanity.

Are you suggesting that there is currently a black hole in our solar system? or that one will soon move into it?

and all that would happen IF a black hole were to be positioned between earth and the sun is a slight eclipsing of the sun's radiation along with a briefly increased gravitational force toward the sun (that is of course assuming the black hole has a mass <.01 solar masses)
