where did you visit while you were in ny? The photos were taken in NYC and upstate NY just north of Albany and close to Quebec. The mountains there are beautiful.

How long of a drive is it from NYC? Is it straight up the Thruway?

It's about 3 hours and 30 minutes from NYC to Lake George, NY where the photos of the boat (the Minnie-Ha-Ha) were taken on the lake but the first few pictures were taken at Ausable Chasm which is about 5 hours from NYC. It's off of 87 north.

Your pics are making me want to check out Ausable Chasm but 5 hours? What else is out there besides the great scenery? I'm too beat to think about driving. I just got back from driving up from Orlando over the weekend.

Not much is there besides mountains but if you extend your trip a little bit you can go into Canada and check out Montreal. I've been there a couple times, it's cool.

Oh ok. I'm planning to go to Montreal next year. I'll check the place out on the way there then. Yeah, I hear Montreal is nice. It's like Europe Lite, lol. I was in Toronto last month. Cool city. Their BMW dealerships have cool buildings.

Yeah I liked Toronto very much, a lot more than Montreal. Other things besides Ausable Chasm but not directly on the way are Fort Ticonderoga and Howe's Caverns, both are pretty cool places to visit.
