Swan is a little known company that builds some great speakers. I have a set of their D1080MKII monitors. They are a great sounding 2.0 system. They also make a great 2.1 setup that way outperform their $120 price point.
http://www.theaudioinsider.com/produ...products_id=89 I have also owned Klipsch and they would be my second choice.

+1 on Klipsch even though I haven't heard any of their speakers myself, I just know that audiophiles worship them and bash on Bose, Logitech, Creative, etc.
I just recently got into the "audiophile" scene and purchased Sennheiser HD595s and a Little Dot MKII+ headphone tube amp; the combo is just amazing, so amazing I refuse to return to my Logitech Z-5500s I was using before, and that was a premium 5.1 surround sound system for much more than the headphones and amp combined, not to mention a quality sound card. An X-Fi will do, but the Asus Xonar is where it's at (apparently). |

I finally had time to go buy some computer speakers. I bought the Klipsch and I LOVE THEM!!!!!! I will add the night prior I bought some sonys that were 69 bux and I refused to listen to these to these little shit boxes. They were awful. So after contemplating I bought the Klispschs : )... Thank you everyone!!!
