Nah, realistically my next car will probably be the F30/32 TT M3 if they don't **** up the design. My car's still pretty new, still have 3 years of warranty so I've got awhile to think about it.

Now the AMG's are beasts....too bad they're only good in a straight and can't corner worth a damn. The lack of a MT really kills it for me also. That's the thing with AMG's. The motors are beasts, but that's about it.

I also really like the CLK "Black Series" or pretty much any Black Series Merc.

Me personally? BMW>Audi>Merc>Lexus.

Audi has really let their styling que's and car and driver test results get to their head. They seem to think they are all the sudden "Better" than everyone. Haha, just ask a female what they like about the new Audi's: "O I love the lights!!"

Its almost like bragging after being complimented. Think about it, a girl says you look good or something to that extent (whatever)... The new TT M3 is also a consideration but it will have to go up against a Porsche and that is one hard decision. These two cars will have to be a little down the road as I have a teenager that needs to go to university in a couple of years. In the meantime the 550i or possibly a M5 may be in the future. I would probably wait for the second year of production as the first year is not as reliable especially with all the new FI engines that BMW is going to put out.

I've been around plenty of Mercs. It's pretty much all my family ever had growing up. (Mainly S-Class and ML's.) We didn't really have much of an issue with them. This was in the 80's btw...and their quality has gone downhill, (Chrysler merger anyone?).....

I was the first one in the family with the bimmer, and it's caught on pretty well....though my Uncle has an S550. (lol @ $150+ oil changes).

We'll have to see about this new TT M3 when it comes out. I agree, I never buy a first year model. Porsche would be nice as well. Hope to own a GT3 some day.

just my 2 cents... an s4 is a better car than the e90 335 its newer and more innovative...an a6 comes standard with 265 hp while an e60 528 has a mere 230 and starts at a much higher price than the a6, and a q5 is just stunning an x3 is dull just like the first commercial said car and driver gave the s4 q5 and a6 a higher rating then the bmw cars...

Porsche it outrageous, in a good way. I'd love to have one. Preferably the Porsche 997 S or 997 GT3 RS.

From a neutral standpoint, they are both good commercials...

However, any educated consumer knows to do their homework before a purchase.
a) Car and Driver is not a very good magazine IMO
b) I don't read Car and Driver, but I doubt they had the F10 to compare to the A6, so most likely it was compared to an e60. I love the e60, but I could see where an updated A6 would "win" a comparo.
c) Same for the q5 (which I believe is x3 sized, not x5 sized, right? Thats the q7?) again, I love the current x3 and will consider buying one soon, but again, I can see how it would loose to the (I must say VERY attractive) all-new q5.
d) What was the S4 compared to? It has more horsepower than a 335i, so shouldn't the 335i be compared to an upper end A4? It has less horsepower than an M3, so that wouldn't be fair either.

Again, from a neutral perspective, great commercials overall, from a slightly biased perspective, its kind of a joke...
