I actually have nothing against Calgary or the people who live there. I just thought CDNROCKIES was taking this whole post way too seriously. Just my opinion was all about the whole car quality thing. You know what they say. OPINIONS ON CARS ARE LIKE ASSHOLES, EVERYONES GOT ONE.

Part of the "art of engineering" is making parts work like they're supposed to, and do it for a reasonable amount of time. There's really no good reason why the Germans shouldn't be able to build cars that are, on average, as reliable as anyone else, but they don't seem to.
The HPFP issue with the N54 is a prime example. There's absolutely no excuse for a major issue like that carrying on for FOUR model years without a solution, but that's exactly what's happened. |

I guess I'm just a little biased is all. I have had almost no trouble with any of the German cars i've owned. ( Crack in third brakelight on the 1 series and a faulty tire pressure sensor on the CLK 550. ) The last car I had before the 1 series was a G35 and it was a total POS. It got to the point where I was nervous to take it out of town. Because their is no lemon law in Canada, the process for getting Infiniti to buy it back was a nightmare and I ending up taking a huge loss $15K just to trade it in to be done with it.
