Yup, all in networking. I have friends who all had incredible connections, Ivy League secret societies (Skull and Bones) and others such as a buddy of mine played football at Notre Dame. Was a starter, but no NFL future, who now makes that at Goldman Sachs in NY. But pretty much you have to be recruited to Wall St. to make that money right out. And that is rare.

There are also plenty of others not listed, such as small business owners/ceos... or real estate investors.
I know someone who owns a couple buildings and leases them out and makes over 7 figures. the problem is industrial real estate today [ well, in CA] isn't priced for investors so to do it you most likely already have to own them. For example today, the Irvine Co. basically monopolizes all of industrial complexes and lands- So if you're interested in owning a building in one of the most expensive areas for land- You're shit out of luck. On the small business side, I know of another guy who owns a small auto parts store that mostly sells to garages, but also sells through its shop to individuals. Pretty shitty looking place- And the guy has a few ferrari's and an absolutely massive house (probably about 10k sq/ft]. My dad used to know him and says thats the only store he owns- And doesn't really do anything else.

Lol school professors. Easy job. Regurgitate whatever nonsense they can put up together over and over again for every semester, pass on the grading slave work to the TA's and go back to using the university's money to research whatever the hell they feel like.

If you had a strong finance internship during college, you could probably make around $60k-$65k out of college. Otherwise, expect to start in the low $50k range. Too many people with far more experience out there competing against you now. Even a Sr. FA [in corporate] right now will probably only push around $90k. Unless you go work for a VC firm and work 70+ hrs a week including weekends, you can break 6 figs.

Cool chart. I'm surprised my job is as high as #6...it is pretty stressful at times. But the $ is good.
