Top Gear used to be about the cars. Now it's more about entertainment with their dumb challenges and specials across the world. I dunno bout you guys but I watch it for the cars.

TG is great, what other show out there makes fact and figures entertaining... Some of the things they do are so stupid and fun, but in the end they give you a good perspective about the cars and what they really can do.

anyone every else of the outcome of the US version, the fact it has not seen the light of day tell me they realize they could never top the original.

There was a US version of TG that failed before the pilot even aired.

the american version has failed a few times. Alex Roy was trying to get on it last i checked.

i love both show, for completely diff reasons. Ive been watching both for many many years, TG is pure entertainment, while 5G it more about the cars. if you try to watch 5G thinking is gonna be anything like TG, then of course you are gonna be mistaken.

I love the shootouts in 5G, i also like their ideas for car challenges, like once they one, where they tested if driving after smoking a joint affected your driving ability. they also did similar ones w/ alcohol and lack of sleep

i for one, am very happy to see them back, i forgot to watch the 1st episode of this season but ill watch it tonight
