I will not have a single doubt about interior build and quality of Mercedes bread and butter C-class. W203 facelift is already an amazing masterpiece, not to say this is a new generation W204. There will be a C coupe version coming later and also once read that there might be a retractable hard top version of the W204 in due course. I will close the deal for a white C63 if the M3 V8 is not making our expectation.The mid sedan power war is only the beginning. I have to yet find out why the 6208cc C-class engine is called C63
and not C62.

Simple, from model year 1968 to around 1972, Mercedes produced the 300SEL 6.3, a true marvel of engineering. It was a 4-door long wheelbase S-class with air suspension, disc brakes on all corners, and a 6.3L V8 that pushes this 2.4 tonne beast to 60mph in around 5.7 seconds. My 6.9 which is it's successor isn't even that fast.

Mercedes has a thing for naming their cars after heritage models. My ML500 for example is much closer to 4900cc than it is to 5000 but they called it a 500 anyway. Today though it seems pretty messed up between actual displacement and model designation as I'm sure you know. BMW doesn't seem to be any better
