Should I sell my iPhone 4 for a Galaxy S 2?

windows phones are better, but u still cant compare them to the gs2...i have the htc sensation through tmobile and I love it, but might get rid of it for the sg2

Well I am now officially a Samsung Galaxy S2 owner and I am ecstatic as to how huge of an upgrade it is compared to my iPhone 3g. The user interface is definitely much friendlier on the iPhone as I can tell, but it didn't take long for me to get used to the Androids UI. I basically walked into a store, showed them the lower priced model at Amazon, and they matched it. Even better, they took my iPhone as a trade in and gave me 76 which I thought was a good deal. I retained all my contacts and transferred photos, but I lost existing texts which I don't mind. So to pay 82.99 in total for a brand new S2, I am very very happy.

Thanks! Going to try it out. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a case? I used to have an Encase slider for my iPhone, and while it didn't protect as much as other cases, it did its job and was rather slim. I'm looking for something similar for my S2. I haven't had any luck even finding a case in any stores for a S2...

Hi there:

Not sure what kind of $$$ you want to spend on a case, but Otterbox should have a good one. I have an original Galaxy class (Captivate) and bought a $2.99 silicone case off ebay for it...it's been the best case I've owned for any phones (and it's the perfect color - lime green!).

Don't worry with a screen protector. Two words: Gorilla Glass <3

I use a TPU case that I got on Amazon for $4 with free 2 day shipping. Feels like a solid case but looking for a higher end case with a holster. Had something similar to this for my iPhone. Case + holster for $30.

Still looking for a screen protector. Even though it is gorilla glass, I heard that it can still get scratch. Waiting for places to make matte screen protector for the US version SG2.

Did anyone get a chance to flash a custom rom on their SG2 yet? Debating about it flashing one for mine. Better battery life + performance.

tt -- some people complain about screen response with protectors on the 1st gens, so take that into consideration as a possibility.

It would take some seriously serious damage to scratch Gorilla Glass. This is what I love to show people about GG...

Ok I need some help. I've customized my phone ringtone and I've been trying to change my notification ringtone without success. It seems as though my notification ringtone is set to 'whistle' permanently whenever I get a text even though I've changed it to something else...

lol, as bad as the Iphone is at this type of thing, any android phone is even worse...

SG2 is only HSPA. Not really 4G. The SG2 skyrocket will be 4G LTE. But it is only available in like 5 US cities.

But I just want it for the bigger screen and 1.5ghz processor, which is the same model Sprint and Tmobile has.

Your battery will be completely owned if that screen is even 1 mm larger.

I got custom rom/root on my SG2. I usually get 12 hours of moderate use without any problems. I also have a external battery that I never use.

Seriously just considering getting this.. coming out in UK on 11/2..

HSPA+ (Galaxy S2) is marketed as 4G. A lot of things are marketed as 4G because they are above 3G, but in reality it is more like 3.5G. If I remember right, LTE Advanced doesn't even meet ITU-R IMT-Advanced requirements. (aka full 4G) All of these are just candidate systems which is how they get away with it.

On a side note, it is very funny how many poeple think the iPhone 4 had 4G. (even pseudo-4G)
