^^ Yes, I'm familiar with that behavior. People drive like jerks around me more often when I'm in the BMW than in other cars.
But in the office, I don't think anybody would come up to me and challenge me to race their Hemi. That seems strange to me.

Charger is a total POS, completely unrefined, plus with 425 horses his 0-60 is still slower than the 335i - yes I know 0-60 ain't everything and the handling on the Charger likely sucks - not to mention the weight of that wack ass car

I would never ever consider the charger as something to actually drive...But I will say that as a cop car..it is fucking bad ass...
But then again cop cars are supposed to be ugly pigs

Avoid racing in straight open road.
Try finding a winding road, the Charger wouldn't even be able to eat your car's exhaust fumes after two bends. There is no way a Charger can handle the curves like a BMW.

the race would prbably take place in an old abandoned road behind a hotel which is about 1-1.5 miles long... atleast that's wut i have in mind.. and about it being a drivers race i'm not that gr8 of a driver... i probably have one shot to beating his ass before he realizes the 335's potential...and as far as taking his nonsense there were a couple of people arround us so i didnt want to look like a 10 year old..... besides i have a bunch of coments in mind after the race , ie. if i win.... i might loose but i have every intent of making this race very close!!!!

I will agree... those of us that own an E92... it looks like more of a sports car than the E90... I have had several "young" guys come up next to me at lights and look over and start revving their engines. I usually just smile and pull off like a grandma. One time a young kid with his girlfriend pulled up in a Hyundai... seriously... a tricked out Hyundai... a four door Hyundai... and started REVVING HIS FRICKIN ENGINE! I started laughing, and he got pissed and started saying things. Not sure what he said as I had my windows up. I didn't even give him the satisfaction. It seems any new car that looks nice people want to race... assuming its a 325i or something. I have raced a couple cars.. friends cars... in an organized ... VERY backroad environment. I won't race these dopes... In other words, don't give the guy the satisfaction. You clearly have the better car. If you want to do it for fun, and don't care if you lose then go ahead. Just my two cents. GL

Tell him you'll only race him if you don't have to look over at his car.
Also, you might want to challenge him to a Budweiser drinking contest and a paintball gunfight at sundown. |

FWIW, you all talk so much shit its funny. Magazine times are never accurate as they all show random facts. Chrysler products are VERY reliable so you all saying its gonna fall apart can sit down now. Secondly, when people want to race, its a straight line. Stop saying "well challenge him to the twisties"...Well duh!! Find me ONE vid on youtube where theres a street race which includes twisties(that isnt a test drive) or STFU!!!

Apples and oranges... Looking at the times above, I find it "interesting" that the Doge needs 425 HP to do 0-60 in 5 Sec. yet the BMW does in in 4.9 with "only" 300 HP.
I guess that’s why a BMW is a BMW and a Dodge is a Dodge. MB sold them off. Smart move! And by the way, take him to some winding road... That should shut him up... I used to like American cars. I owned a lot of them, once I went foreign, I will NEVER buy a American car again... AND I did not even want a BMW at the time I bought my first... Now that I have one, I'm hooked and this is my second one. I had a rental Dodge 300. i was excited to get it (vs a Taurus). what piece of crap! So beat him or at least keep up... And yes, you will impress a better quality of chick with the BMW ve a Charger... |

It's laughable to me that anyone would want to compare any American made car to a BMW.
BMWs are high quality, leading edge driving machines. American made vehicles are ALL pieces of shit that are made for the masses. Will they get you from one place to another and mabe go fast, sure. But they're all mass produced shit cans. Why would you risk a life, a ticket or anything else to race a shit bucket American made car? Even if you won, so what? Would you brag about it? LOL! I sure wouldn't. You have a BMW dude. Arguably the best designed and built production vehicle on the freaking planet. Tell the owner of the SRT-8 to go play with himself. :finger:

The Charger is the slightly faster car. He will probably win. Just get the Procede and be done with it.

You guys are big time haters. How do you expect other car owners or enthusiast form other forums to respect BMW's if all we do is trash them. You wanna give credit to all the "miraculous" things BMW, and excuse all the bad, yet you don't give credit to any other car when its due. The Charger SRT8 puts down a lot of power. For 40k (the price of a nicely equipped 325i/328i) you get the charger loaded. Maybe the 1/4 mile times are off because of traction issues or poor weight distribution throughout the car. I bet if the race was from 80+ it would probably own a stock 335i.
