"Caroline Smith" Really now? Might as well used Jane Smith. If he/she said they are from Costa Rica at least use a regional name....and the grammar is horrible.

Id fuck around with this scammer and waste his/her time, or even get them to give you their information and subscribe them to some gay pron or something...

If you didn't notice it was a scam, you don't need to buy/sell on the Internet.

Yeah tried to get an address and phone # didn't work.

Now they want an address to pick up the car, will give them an address in another town and likely camp out to see the movers for lolz.

Buying on Amazon and EBay with piece of mind, is much different than not knowing if the aforementioned email is a scam. I knew scam before I read the first line.

Similar thing just happened to me when I found a "GREAT DEAL" on a BMW S1000rr. I know its long but I thought it might be useful to see the whole story so here is what happened to me:.....BTW, I verified with PayPal before any money was sent that this was a scam. The scammer even sent me fake paypal invoices as attachments that paypal had no record of. After the last message I just turned it over to the PayPal fraud team and let them handle it.

How much are you asking for your bike? What color is it?

Andre

Hello ,
I appreciate your interest in buying my bike. This is an immaculate one
adult owned #### S #### RR offered up for sale. This motorcycle has
every option; Motorsport (racing) colors, DTC, ABS traction control,
quick-shifter, etc.
This amazing motorcycle has only ### careful miles and rides as good as
it looks. It has never seen rain or bad weather of any kind. It has
always been garage kept. For sale at \$#,###. The price is below the
market as I recently divorced and I don't own a driver's license,
therefore I don't need it, so I'm trying to sell it as soon as
possible. If you have any other questions, or need more info, please
feel free to ask.
Thanks

Hello Andre,
Sorry for the late reply I've been out of the state on business. Please
let me explain to you the process of this transaction and you can decide
if you want to proceed or not.
As I told you in my first email, I recently got divorced. I also got a
new job and moved to Anchorage, Alaska in order to start over. I'm in Anchorage, Alaska but my presence won't be necessary because I
prearranged the deal with PayPal. The bike is in Anchorage at the
shipping company, ready to be delivered. The deal includes free delivery
and it will arrive at your address in # to # working days. You will have
# days to test it and inspect the bike prior to making any purchase and
if by any reason you find something you don't like about it you can send it back at my expense. If you want to make this deal I need the
following details from you: full name, address, and phone#.
Once I have your info I will forward them to PayPal to get things
started. PayPal will contact you shortly after they have the details
with all the information that you need to complete this
deal and you will also have proof that I am covered by them and a
legitimate seller. Waiting for your email with the requested details.

Thanks

Hello Dorothy,

My info is as follows:

Andre ####
##### ##### Co. #####
Phone# ###-###-####

Is there any info that you can provide me at this time to prove that you are a legitimate seller?

Do you have title in hand?

Was this bike ever listed for sale in Canada?

Why did you have it listed for sale here in Denver?

What is the name of the shipping company that the bike is currently at?
Could you please send me an INVOICE so we can execute this deal?

I really hope that we can make this deal happen soon!

Thanks,

Andre
***********************************************

I just talked to paypal and they assured me that I am protected.
Thanks,
Andre

Hi Andre,
I am sorry couldn't check my e-mail earlier. I will forward your info to
PayPal right away and they will send you an invoice with all the
instructions on how to purchase my bike. You will have to deposit the
money with PayPal, they will hold your payment until you get the car and
you inspect it for # days. If by any reason you don't like it you can
immediately send it back on my cost and PayPal will send all your money
back. Once i get PayPal's confirmation that the payment has been sent i
will begin the shipping process right away.

Ok it sounds good. I am ready to send payment as soon as I get the info.

Thanks,

Andre

I’ve just got a notification from paypal, saying that they had sent you
the details on our transaction. Just wanted to be sure, that you have
received it and you understood how to make/confirm payment. Once I will
have the payment confirmation from them I will start the shipping.
Please let me know when you'll be able to make the payment. I will also
keep you updated on the arrival and everything.

P.S: Sometimes I receive the messages from paypal in my spam mail
folder; maybe you should check yours as well.

So in their second to last communication, did you notice that they first said bike, and then said car later on in the same message?

Not that it wasn't obvious before that it was a scam, but oh well.

Epically bad idea. Do you really want these people to have any kind of real info on you? And then antagonize them? Identity theft is right up their alley, and you never know if one of their buddies is into home invasion robberies.
