I'm looking forward to seeing the car in person, saw some pictures recently and am not sure I'm a fan. I hope that they make it look a bit more aggressive and exaggerated. I have a real soft spot for Corvettes... just hope this one doesn't disappoint.

Same goes for the interiors. I've driven in Lotus(and others) whos interiors are much cheaper, uncomfortable and lesser quality than the Corvette. Americas sport car is the one that take the abuse. Some European sports cars snobs will always find fault with the car. I say, spruce up the interior a little bit(not 10K) worth and keep the cost down some. The interior doesnt need that much improvement. Put the majority of the money to shaving seconds off lap times IMO.

HAHA I agree.. But secretly Clarkson LOVEs american sports cars. He just gives them a hard time.

I like Jeremy Clarkson but I don't agree with very much of what he has to say. He's a funny guy, but that's about it.

These two renderings look pretty good, IMO.

Corvette will never go with rectangular tail lights.
That second drawing is God awful!
The first one looks a lot better but these guesses the mags take before revealings are usually well off the mark of the production cars.

Actually, I wouldn't be so sure about them not putting rectangular tails on the new Vette. Bob Lutz specifically said that new Corvette would be taking a dramatic turn that would appeal more towards the younger crowd over older generations.

Im curious to see what GM produces with the all new C7.

So, rectangular is favored by young guns?
Lutz hasnt been with GM for over 2 years now.

Im curious to see the new car also. But I'll be keepin my C6 with those old fogey round lights.

I'll try to find the article I read it from. I'm not saying younger guys like rectangular lights, I'm just saying that GM says that theyre looking for a younger customer with the new C7 and that they'll be going a different direction with the new car.

I really like that front end render from Car and Driver. Looks almost Ferrari-like.

Not feeling the rear end though, too busy.

Vette is taking styling cues from the GTR.

Not sure where you're getting that from?

Clearly looks like they're borrowing styling cues from the Camaro....but as mentioned in the last post....these are just renders.

hope they finally put the seats in these cars that they deserve. the seats even in the ZR1 are a joke compared to what is available.

I was looking at the magazine renders---it just reminds me of a slimmer GTR. Front lights, bumper, rear bumper shape.

Although the rear lights look like the camaro's, I just see more GTR in it than camaro. Again, from the renders.

The rear tires seem very narrow. At first I thought maybe winter tires. They appear to be the same width as the fronts and are flush with the fender.

The current base C6 sports 285 width rears, the GS & Z06 325's and the ZR1 335's. Im pretty sure they wont be any narrower than 285, which is not considered a narrow tire by most. We will have to wait and see to be sure though.

If it gets smaller and lighter as rumor suggests, a smaller tire would make more sense and provide for lower unsprung weight.
