I took my father this past weekend as an early fathers day present. He isn't as much of a driving enthusiasts as I am, but he does like cars. So he really enjoyed the experience. The fastest thing he has ever driven is my car, and my car is certainly nothing special.
http://www.imaginelifestyles.com/ult...ing-experience For me it was anti-climactic. The professional driver in the passenger seat wouldn't let me paddle shift the Ferrari I was driving and he wouldn't let me put it in any sort of sport mode. I'm pretty sure my 135 makes more torque than the Ferrari I was driving too, or at least it felt that way. |

My dad has a high end blender and makes Margarita's all summer long for tons of friends and family that they always have over. He is always making tons of ice which he spends hours on between filling trays and the automatic ice maker in his fridge that cannot keep up. So this year I got him a cool ice maker that makes 30#s of ice a day. And got him about 10 gallons of Tequila.

I miss my Dad, too. It's been almost 5 years. It doesn't get better. It just gets less bad. Sort of.

Well, I decided since my father likes to drink, smoke, and act a fool..., I got him front row tickets to Detroit Tigers game on Fathers Day, then dinner at Pegasus in Downtown Detroit with my mother since I won't be able to make it home this year.

Yeah, I get a lot of flashbacks/memories/"this reminds me of him" moments, but I think it also affected me on a deeper, subconscious level... Like I used to be fairly level-headed and compassionate, but lately I've been kinda temperamental and there are lots of things I simply stopped giving a damn about.

Here's mine... Yes, I know what you're thinking: Here's a tatted biker that likes to be the outspoken free thinker, then you got his son who, except on certain topics, tries to be very PR and usually seeks professional career choices. Oh, and he aspired to be a cartoonist once and I'd see all sorts of silly drawings all the time.
