Awesome dealers like this don't help:
As for looks, it's a car that the younger male demographic tends to love... but women are (at best) apathetic about. Maintenance and consumable costs are also insanely high -- the cost to track the car (and extract its incredible potential) is pretty ridiculous

You surely do not buy a GTR for its interior. The ZR1 has an awful interior, but that hasn't stopped people from buying it. It's not a luxury car, so I don't expect much.

i think i was going off my own feelings which might not be inline with the masses. i personally wouldn't buy a zr1 either. i use to really want a gtr but the more i looked at it, the more i thought that i can get something that was a bit nicer and combined somewhat close to that kind of power. in addition, if i was going to spend exactly that much money, i would almost opp for a slightly used super car that was more appealing to me than a brand new gtr. |

Probably part of the reason there may not be a successor. If there is, it will be well over $100k. |

Lots of interesting perspectives on this, but I actually agree with a lot of what has been said...I recently traded out of a F430 into a GTR thinking that it is the ultimate machine in terms of performance....and it absolutely is....there are only 3 current production cars that are faster to 60 and the quarter mile, Veyron, Aventador, and 997 Porsche 911 Turbo S.
But the GTR does lack a level of sophistication on the inside that one would expect at 100k. Which is the main reason I'm trading out of the black edition for an F10 M5. If you're looking at just performance, its hard to argue with the numbers on the GTR though, 0-60 2.8 secs, 1/4 mile 10.9 secs, ability to pull 1.4 g's in a corner......not even the 458 can match that, and it costs 3 times as much. |

Hmmm........did anyone check out the new 2012 carrera S price???? Starts from $96,000 without options.....!!!!
I do wish it was cheaper but the market is like this. The prices have inflated for every new coupe coming out.
