Copy? You know Fiat owns both Ferrari and chrysler/SRT right?

And even the previous gen viper acr set a faster lap time around the ring than the gtr

Viper hands down as well. The GT-R is great and all that but the new Viper is going to be a show stopper. With the good ol' fashion N/A V10 powering the beast and yes, I'd get the "base" version. I don't need all the creature comforts.....they add to much weight.

its just looks like they used the ferrari 458 for inspiration, and the interior is sucky like all other american beasts: vette, mustange, whatever.

Well they used the same thing Ferrari uses: a freaking wind tunnel. If you want to be at the apex with how far advanced supercars are these days, you can't compromise on aerodynamics for the sake of keeping the upright Viper nose styling.... You also have to move the engine between the axles unless you're Porsche. I think they did a good job with the unique skin and keeping as much of the "Viper" proportions as possible.

As for the interior, I couldn't care less in a car that isn't meant to coddle me in the first place. I think the Ford GT has the best interior ever.

The 458 is fckn ugly. This, is not. And the interior will put any german cars interior to shame.

If I want to scare the shit out of myself on a regular basis, I'm going with the Viper. If I want to go fast and feel like the car is doing most of the work, the GTR.

The only interior gripe about recent Vipers were the shitty seats. Now they're done by the same people who do the Ferrari interiors.

<3 generalization and ignorance. Hows that "mustange" interior anyways?

I have no clue how this looks like a 458 from the front.. Looks like a japanese fish. Also lost its American grunt sound.

OP, both cars are pretty different, or at least the previous Vipers were about as different from the GTR as possible.
Am I not allowed my own opinion's? I was never arguing anything just stating what I felt. Get off your high horse.

Also get your facts straight before criticizing some one the Z06's limit is 7000RPM not 6600.

I love the GT-R but I have to choose the Viper.

The viper has always been one of my favorite cars and with the new remodel and potential it has it can't be beat!

Drive both cars and then decide. It's the only way to know for sure which one you want. The best specs and photo's in the world don't mean a thing if you don't actually enjoy driving it.

True...

...but I thought that the whole purpose of the Internet was for people who have never driven one of two cars to tell you which one is better and why based solely on the magazine articles they have read and the opinions of others...

In this case many of us have likely driven one of the cars involved, so we are probably overqualified by Internet comparison standards.

haha, is that what you think the internet is made for? To be honest, I agree with a previous poster as we can tell you what we like in the car but that doesn't really translate to what you like in a car. E.g. I thought the M3 was underpowered but some others might think it has just the right amount of power.

IMO, the internet is the ultimate conduit of information but information dissemination through reading and experience first hand is two very different products of the same idea. If you're going to spend that much money on a car, you should test drive both first and decide. Then come to us when you have a question about what color you want to make it. haha Just kidding on that last part unless you really want us to choose your ride's color.

Good luck my friend. You have two great choices and can't go wrong with either.
