Great video! Thanks for sharing. I definitely need to get out there while I'm still in Germany. Might try in early July.

Great video, having been there 5 times it's sad to hear how much debt the ring is in. The new complex is nice, but not needed. I think 125million euro's will buy it.

Nothing properly prepares you for the 'Ring. I did thousands of laps in GT and it did nothing for me when I finally drove. Even after two laps as a passenger I wasn't prepared. It's an experience that I wish more gear heads could have.

Man... seeing all these comments and questions makes me realize how much I take for granted living in Germany for the past couple years and being able to cruise to the Ring whever I wanted.
Going to be a sad day when I go back to America and won't have the Green Hell up the road. Great video and great story MSportworld! And you are absolutely right... from experience and thinking the same thing, there is no way that GT, or Forza can prepare you for that track in person. STR!!!!!

Road to Nurburgring

Of course Gran Turismo was only used to learn the map (which does help) and not for "actual" experience that's why a disclaimer is at the beginning and the differences mentioned in the video too. There were no hot-lap attempts in the making of this video...just fun and good times! Thanks to Dackelone for posting the video and sharing with the Bimmerpost community. Awesome auto museum guide by the way! Very detailed: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=494657 Cheers, Tao SAVE THE RING! |

Awesome video btw! Next time you come over here you have to experience "the rest" of Germany! Not just the 'Ring!! Maybe your next big thing on your personal Bucket List should be Stelvio Pass! It's quite an awesome road. Wanna come over next month? See my Stelvio 2.0 link bellow. Dackel
