From Car and Driver re the 3.2 TT:
"However, getting to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 14.5 at 95 mph is nothing to get excited about in this class, and it’s just 0.1 second quicker in the quarter than the 2.0T coupe from the comparo." |

I say go for the 265-hp Z4 3.0si Coupe. Faster, cheaper, more fun to drive, and you get free maintenance. And the steptronic with the paddle shifters is VERY fast, blips the throttle on downshifts and fun to drive. Looks are subjective, but to me the Z4 Coupe looks better and more masculine the the regular Cayman, and especially the TT.
If you're going with the CaymanS, then it's another story and definitely get it over the TT and the 3.0si Coupe. BTW, BMW dealers this month are giving a lot of discounts on the Z4 Coupe. Good luck on your choice! |

Neither.
The Cayman is heavily focused on driving instead of the overall drive experience. If this isn't your interest, then you might be underwhelmed by the lack of luxuries the car offers. Besides, getting a P car with an automatic is a bit like heresy. On the other hand, the TT leans towards luxury. You'll find most of the features you're looking for, but might find the performance disappointing. It's not too quick, and fwd/awd takes away from the fun. $50'000 is a lot of money. Take your time when choosing, and you'll definitely find what you're looking for. |
