Some of these responses are hilarious......The design is UGLY imo.

But Lexus is doing very well - its back to being #1 in sales in the US for August by a wide margin.

The IS is selling great and the Fsport versions have won almost every magazine comparison.

The RC coupe and the RC-F (NA V8) should be awesome.

I was going to say the same thing. The first thing that came to mind is "lamborghini"

This has the same kind of sharp, pointy, boxy, batmobile-y design cues that are emblematic of lamborghini.

They look very similar to me. Same kind of boxy/pointy design cues. The Lexus has the gaping grille, granted, but overall the themes are very similar. The designs are different, but the themes are similar IMO.

the only reason the LFA works is that it is a supercar, and crazy designs work in supercars and sports cars. They don't work in dime-a-dozen passenger cars and SUVs though.
The LFA is nowhere near what I would call a "crazy design." The LFA looks quite bland to me. I respect it as a car given that it's like the 5th fastest production vehicle on earth (nurburgring) and impressively it manages to achieve that while being vastly underpowered compared to its competitors, but it's very bland looking. The front looks way too soft for my taste, IMO.

I think their biggest downfall in the luxury sport market is going to be lack of power, particularly with the GSF. Rumor has it that the GSF won't have much more HP than the RCF (465?)

If that's true, the GSF will be disastrous. The competitors in this class (M5/E63) have well north of 500.

465 would've been fine...10 years ago.

The RCF at least has the potential to be up to snuff with the M3/C63. Of course only time (and thorough track tests) will tell, but the basic numbers are at least there.

No longer true, why do you think they are going aggressive? How many more cars can a 50-70 years buy in their lifetime, they are going down market.

Yea I don't like this lambo either when I first saw it on last season's top gear. Looks horrendous.

I think it looks OK. It would definitely get people's attention if their production vehicle looked anything like that concept. And they would sell well. I'd buy that before getting an X1 or X3.

Looks like designer ate a box of razor blades and pooped them out in a wind tunnel.

Agreed about Lambo, I think the Aventador looks horrible and am in general not a fan of the body lines. To each their own!

It's best not to interrupt the circlejerk over stereotypes.

It's not likely I will buy another Lexus anytime soon or ever again but their new design is growing on me as I get older the same time. Weird, maybe I should see a specialist soon.

Seems like they were only focused on Asian drivers when they designed the mirrors. I've got way more focal range than those mirrors would allow.
