This is the third price increase on the F10 M5 since we got ours.

Do we get anything for this increase? Has anything from the options become standard or gone down in price?

I mean come on bro, as the most desired premium auto maker that's already making bank what's the point? Jus another buck for the blue & white status symbol brand. This reminds of Apple because they are so big they can do whatever they want and people will still pay to play! How about tightening up quality control so I don't see so many issues on this forum that most 30k don't have in most of their lifespan? Or more customizable options for consumers? I find it highly ironic that this goes into effect on the same day the US government "runs out of money" and might shut down..people don't matter to big corps anymore!!

In Australia they are reducing prices on certain models such as 1 series and when new model is released such as the LCI 5 series and M5s.

Why you even dare to complain about a price increase while you still get these amazing cars for nothing. If it will help you cool down a F10 ///M5 with some of the options you get only about for $15k and if it is still only a $100k car, we get the same car in here about 250-260k euros. We cant even buy an m-sport 525xd for less than 95k euros... It is a shame that you are being a little selfish about that. You should be praying for those prices...

Looking at that list with all those BMW cars together and their retail prices has really hit home how much we pay in non-US markets for essentially the same cars.

In the states US$120k it appears will get you the top of the line BMW but here barely a Z4 35is.

IF I were in the states looking for a car, I'd be like a kid in a candy store!!

I wonder if the M3 and 3 Series convertibes get an MY2014 or if they stay MY2013. Depends on whether they intend to produce them past the end of calendar year 2013 I suppose. Actually now that I think about it, the same question could be raised about the 1 Series coupes as well. In fact I think that we already know the new 2 Series goes into production this year, meaning the 1 would be done. Not sure about the 1 convertible, but in fact, looking at this chart, I suppose the vehicles in the top section are all in there final months of production. Perhaps it is indeed the case that they all stay MY2013 while everything else switches to MY2014. Edit: it says right in the column heading that they are still 2013.

I also wonder if the large increases such as those found on the M5 and M6 include more standard equipment.:

While money talks, i prefer the baseline of our vehicles increase rather than sit idle. We drive luxurious euro cars; not anything other. Not a snob, but want a vehicle greater than common market. Will assist with resale too. Good move for corporate to get us out of those "deals" that so commonly exist. My .02

Raise the price of the M's to create a little more separation when the M3/M4 come out. That should give you a clue on the M3 prices.

$2000 more for the M5/M6, now thats hilarious.

A profit grab and nothing more for your money.

Yeah, higher priced M's means you can expect a more expensive M3/M4.

P cars keep looking better esp. the new 991 chassis.

Does the price increase apply to cars already produced (on the lot or on their way to the US but unclaimed)? Or is the price increase typically only applied to cars produced after the deadline (Oct 1)?

Yes.

M6 is already at C2S prices. M5 is nearing it. As much I love the new M5 (and considered getting one) my next jump will be to C2S/F80, depending on value. Maybe even a used GT3 in a few years.

Another reason why I am going to consider other brand as my next car. I have been a loyal customer for the past 7 years. I've owned 17 BMW so far and I have to admit, the build quality has gone downhill. I have to make more trips to the dealership for random repair in the newer BMWs than in my older BMWs.

Why would 2013 prices go up when they don't even produce 2013 anymore? Most of the new cars at my local dealership is 2014 already.

Is this increase only for US or for other countries as well? I'm in South Africa and I'm not sure if there will be an increase over here. There has already been 2 increases this year for BMW cars in South Africa!

Because some models will stay 2013 models, like the M3 Convertible.

Price increase is not associated with the production date of the car, but the order date.
