Yeah it is a sad sight seeing serviced 3 series leaving the dealer whith those wretched stains at the bottom of the doors. Can't the dealers invest in a little detergent?

i think most people dont see hyndai as an upscale luxury/sporty competitor, i think if they want to be able to market this car well and their big rwd v8 sedan tha they should market it under a different name. ( like what toyota did with lexus and look where they are now)

It's nice to see threads like this now. When I looked at any threads relating to Hyundai 2-3 years ago, everyone said it was junk. While the materials they used were mostly bottom shelf, they had solid build quality and have been constantly improving in reliability and appeal, while maintaining their value.

Traditionally, they have been in the copy-cat business. This car isn't a ton different (profile looks nearly identical to altima coupe, rear end looks like a G35), but they are starting to bring forth some of their own designs and brand identity. Personally, I like the headlights and taillights. Also, you can really see the Tiburon form evolving through each car. There are some similarities to the RD and GK tiburons.

I came from a Tiburon several years ago, moved up to a G35 and G37. If I were Toyota, Nissan, or even most of the luxury brands, I would be very concerned. While their cars aren't quite up to some people's standards of a luxury brand - their results and progress is undeniable. Their SUV won a comparison to Lexus (forgot which models). Hyundai definitely doesn't have much (or any) brand cache yet - but who's to say they can't bring it upmarket over the next 10-15 years? Personally, I see them doing everything that Toyota/Lexus has done, and perhaps even doing it better. After all, 2-3 years ago, who would have thought there would be a generally positive thread about Hyundai on a bimmer forum?

Good luck. Hyundai has had concepts like these at the car shows for years and never introduced any of them. I'll believe it when I see them make them.
