downstem in my bubbler keeps breaking off (it's a separate piece that was glued in) and i have to re-glue the damn thing every couple of months. i think i've tried every glue kind known to man.

^ usually don't glue glass together. usually blown together or just sits separate as far as i've seen. i take it you don't have a removable downstem? maybe it's time for a new piece.

If the piece fits perfectly in, Krazy glue WILL work. You just need to make sure that you apply it in the deformed areas ONLY, and do not let it leak when you press down. Apply sparingly with a long needle or toothpick. When you compress the two pieces, you need to make sure they stay perfectly joined for about 45 seconds before letting go of it. and once again, do not let any glue get on your fingers because it will fuck everything up. You need to be precise, do it once, and you'll be done. Once it dries out for 15 minutes, come back use a new toothpick, and fill in the cracks from the exterior only and let it sit for the night. The next day, wipe it with a bounty and you'll be good to go.

But on a real note, Its always easier to get a new piece. I do this when friends break my diffuser. I now have a piece designated for public use so no one fucks my shit up anymore. cant even trust my girl with my shit - she always breaks it.

Hm.. will try that. I used Krazy glue before, but it also became un-done after a few months. I wonder if washing that thing with rubbing alcohol and hot water messes up the glue...

Yep. It's an all-glass piece, and the downstem was glued when i got it.
Its a 3-part. The piece itself with a hole for the downstem, glued in downstem and one of those bowls with a short stem that seals the downstem when you put it in. Damn thing was $300, but I got it s a gift.

Perhaps its time to start looking at a Volcano. I found a bag plus valves and a mouth piece, but without the base for $110. People are saying that you could just use a $50 variable temperature heat gun instead of the base.

Use grunge off or solution 420, its friendly to the krazy glue. My piece back home is standing strong 4 years later. How thick is the glass of the area affected? 2, 3mm?

man my girl has a volcano, i hate it. Ive never been a fan of vaporizing, so thats a whole new debate. But of all the vapes i have used, i find it to be good. I just like the harsh smoke so i burn the weed much higher than the suggested temp, alot of people dont like that but i need to smoke it and thats as close as I can get, but not close enough. too much hassle, too much shit to go wrong, too much money for a simple electric device. I have no problem paying 500 for a V1 radar detector, but 400 for a fucking heating element and an air pump? im not playing that game.

Did it once out of utter desperation... I refuse to smoke Bambu papes/white papers and i was stuck on an island for a couple hours so I decided to tough it out, spend about 15 minutes peeling off the foil, and it worked. Not the best, but better than white papers lol. Def. wont do it again. I usually have spare papers in my phone and wallet, but that day was just not my day.

I do feel like face palming every time i think about this, not one of my proudest moments. However, I pity anyone who rolls up with papers of that nature: big bambu, easy widers, all that bullshit.

Raws on the Roll, all day, every day. If no Raws, its Elements, or nothing.

Cigarette paper/white rolling paper burns to fast. I wasnt going to waste my precious Jamaican Ice on cigarette paper... That shit is so dense that the paper would burn out and within 5 seconds of pulling it, all the paper would have burned out and the weed would be wet and still waiting to be smoked. So yeah, thats what happened. gum paper is similar to elements paper, burns slow. I would never do this with herb in America, but the Jamaican shit is just too dense, wet, and juicy. Regular papers need not apply.

Solution 420 FTW. If you like something non abrasive, use grunge off. I use the grunge off on the broken pipe with the krazy glue because it doesnt eat the glue away.

nah...get some simple green, place your piece in a microwavable cup or glass, fill er up with simple green, microwave for 1:11, wash piece off to brand new! you can reuse that simple green a bunch of times. cheaper than formula 420 and just as good.

This is true.

A neat trick I found for cleaning difficult diffusers and other glass pieces are to put it in a cup with a vibrating toothbrush and put it in face down with the desired soaking agent. works great for difficult/intricate pieces.

I had an old TM that did that, finally found aquarium silicone, supposed to be non toxic. I couldnt just toss him out. I retired it a couple years ago after i bought a new Bizong but after watching Toy Story 3 I felt bad and started playing with him again.
