Even the silver phone behaves like a space gray phone when booting. It has the black background with white logo.

You can tell via the bottom of the phone since the silver has stainless steel trim and space grey has a dark coating.

in my honest opinion, having played with the phone now for 8 days... I don't think ios11 is ready for prime time, the phone does hang up at times and apps do freeze, in addition certain things are just not worked out as efficiently as they could be...

with that being said, I still think the X is solid.

It's a great phone to flex in front of the ladies. I show off the clips app where it uses the true depth sensor to make it seem like you're somewhere else or make you look like an animated character.

I am still of a very strong train of thought that face id is a marketing gimmick that was made to make the phone sell at a premium. While it works well, I think its simply not needed. The idea below was what I had envisioned and would have removed 100% of the concerns of face id-

I believe I remember reading that they couldn't get that to work properly so they fell back to the Face ID so as not to delay production even further.
