Seeing a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches lately.
Here's my latest lunch: Block of fried halloumi cheese, some basil pesto sauce, tomatoes, in a toasted ciabatta roll.

I took a drive for lunch today to a convenience store a few towns away. When I was in that town a few weeks ago running a lunchtime errand for my DW, I stopped at this c-store to grab a quick lunch. They had factory-made (pre-packaged) potato salad in 1/2 pound tubs. I grabbed one, even though I am not a fan of pre-packaged potato or macaroni salad, figuring that I could "fix" it by adding something when I got home. Long story short, the stuff was almost ambrosia of the gods, and didn't need fixing! I stupidly threw the container out before looking to see who made it, in my rush to get back onto the computer for work.
Anyway, I went back today and grabbed both a macaroni salad and potato salad. The macaroni salad needs fixing, but the potato salad was still ambrosia of the gods. Both were manufactured by a wholesale food packager named Hans Kissle from Massachusetts. A quick web search of all the regional supermarket chains here does not list any of them carrying it, although there are leads that Tops Friendly Markets in western NY may carry it as their store brand. Hans Kissle's web site says that they make other potato salad varieties, and I *must* find a source so that I can sample them all...carbs/sodium be damned.....

Since I have to drive past that store this weekend to attend the EV car show, I'll take pictures and do a proper ride-to-eat thread post. Ironically, there's an EV show scheduled at that very store at the same time I'll be driving by to attend a different show. I went to that show for National Drive Electric Week in 2019, and wouldn't do it again. Way too many fossilized hippie chicks beating on tambourines and pushing vegan coffee/cookies for my liking.....
