Fast forward to pushing..

I remember I was cut on the inside of my vagina and with each contraction my Dr was pulling as if to stretch the muscle as wide as it could go to get the baby out. She used a scalpel to cut my insides and my daughter was delivered on the third count of pushing while counting to 10. I had stitches on the inside of me for over a month. She didnt do an episiotomy because I asked if her if that's what she cut and she said No. Also I could see I had no stitches down there.

I went for a check up 1 month and 6 months later. On the 6 month check up she said "it doesnt even look like a baby came out of here." So I guess that means she didnt destroy me by doing that.
Glad everything worked out well!

But, any cutting of the vagina/perineum is an episotomy...

Funny, the first part of my post above started out with, "You know that guys are super visual, right?"

Every guy reading that paragraph saw a scalpel enter a vagina and imagined tiny hands sutchering the inside of a vagina. (or regular hands in a HUGE vagina) lol

You know what, you're right. Now that I think back to it, I remember asking her if she cut down by my butt and that's when she said no. That's what was making me think I didnt have an episiotomy. I was told by a co-worker that's when you're cut from your vagina down to your butt hole.

So from what I learned from you today, I did have an episiotomy.

I think an internet forum could give a better opinion of that....

any test can be used in any patient population...they all work well...Harmony and MaterniT21 measure fetal fraction so there is a degree of reliability that what the lab is seeing is real.

The issue with screening tests is....the PPV of a test is dependent on the prevalence of disease in the population being tested....this should always be considered when evaluating screening tests

Now that everyone is bored...

Are there any health concerns with regularly going down on my girlfriend? I've been doing it daily. Not sure if this is your field but figure I ask anyway.
