La jolla is SO boring. It's cool if you want to raise a family etc- but if you're single and kids have fur and walk on four legs- it is sooooo lame.

That's why in breaking my contract and moving back to downtown long beach.

Mind you, I don't golf...but maybe if I did I would enjoy it just a tad bit more

Generally speaking, yes.

However- this whole El Niño shit is too much for CA drainage system. Plus most people here just throw their trash anywhere, which clogged em up even more- so most of la jolla/miramar flooded last week.

It didn't even rain that bad. It was like a normal day in the PNW.

When a typical day in the PNW can be too much for the so cal drainage system, I know where I need to be haha.

I was in la a couple years ago in Jan and it was 85-90. Being in Thousand Oaks helped, but it was nice as hell

Taxes are ridiculous for cars registered I this state. Each town has its own mill rate. Assessments are based upon 70% of fair market value. A mill is equal to $1.00 of tax for each $1,000 of assessment. My mill rate is 34.35% which is pretty high.

To calculate the property tax, multiply the assessment of the property by the mill rate and divide by 1,000.

We get taxed on property and a supplemental on all vehicles... even trailers. Terrible waste of funds.
