Between RUS and HAM: RUS complained twice via on-board radio near the end of Q3 (after the ALO crash) that HAM should pick up pace as time was ticking away to Q3 end. They both made it in time, but it must have been frustrating for RUS that his first complaint wasn't adressed straightaway by the team and HAM (if informed by the team).

If SAI and ALO had not been unlucky during Q3, they would have pushed back HAM and RUS to P7 and P8. But that's motor racing.

VER should realize that if he cannot beat LEC in this race (IMHO FP and Q indicates that LEC has the edge over him), P2 still bags him 18 precious points (+ 1 point for fastest lap, if possible), rather than 0 points as a result of ending up in the walls because of having pushed the car over the limit.

At that time ,as we know Ferrari was running really bad...PU and chassis !

The car was uncontrollable because the floor really s@CKED !
Charlie got the new upgraded floor and was doing better . And SEB had to crash in the next 7 races with the old floor !

Even strong willed Carlos can't stand up to the Ferrari big game however El Matador jnr flexes his Spanish muscle, no number 2 ever has.

Thats still not a good excuse because despite being rushed he was out lapping before the red flag which stopped running. Sure he didn't get to set a good time, but that means his car was ready to go after the red flag to set a good time, but he couldn't do it. Russell also didn't get to set a good time until after the red flag but he still pulled it off in that short period of time.

Regardless though, Sainz is probably the number 2 driver at Ferrari now.

The danger is NOR and HAM starting on reds.
Even if the w13 is on reds I don't think it has the pace to threaten the top 3.

Interesting to notice:
  • McLaren (NOR and RIC) has improved since the previous two races;
  • SAI and ALO were faster in Q2 than HAM in Q3;
  • Q2 time of SAI would have been P4 in Q3 (due to bad luck SAI was virtually 1 second slower in Q3 compared to Q2).

Understandably disgruntled VET was asking where the money goes when he was fined 5k euro for riding a scooter on the track, more to the point where is it kept.

Darn, I wanted to see what Alonso was going to do in Q3!

It's sure shaping up to be a Leclerc vs. Verstappen year. I have to give the nod to Verstappen though, I think Leclerc is too nice of a guy and Max is a killer.

To me being hard doesn't matter. Having your emotions in check is far more important and Max let's his emotions control him at times, Charles doesn't and he has shown he can use that against max.

Also the Ferrari is a huge factor, if there is more untapped speed then redbulls sole advantage is done. Also it depends on if Ferrari can keep it together and keep development steady and keep making good strat calls, or if they revert back to full clown "copy we're checking".

True, LEC can keep his cool while VER is losing his mind. It's worked well so far but I don't know if Charlie can get f**king ugly if needed. My boy Kimi lacked that quality and it hurt him.

Getting ugly and trying to fight for little things is stupid imo, better to live to fight another day. It almost cost max the championship last year not 3anting to give an inch.

Ferrari PU top

Ferrari PU is top of the class. Rocket acceleration 220 to 300 is unmatched on the grid. Red Bull needs DRS to keep it close.

The ferrari has much shorter gearing too, so there's that.

It's an exciting track so I'd do it, plus it's the weekend so why not! Sleep for Monaco, stay up for this.
