I wonder how long this little 4 stroke Honda engine will last. Anyone have any storing recommendations over the next winter?

I would not use a pressure washer that powerful for washing cars.

The only way you can damage the paintwork with a pressure washer would be if you were to use a very powerful machine and hold it too close to the surface which would result in the paintwork being stripped off the vehicle.

also don't keep it outside, keep it in a basement, or a garage which has some heat in it

Guys, ya could boo me, I dont care!
Sold the Bimmer and replaced it just with this beauty Audi RS5 here, brought it home few hours ago, no match - even the color
Driving BMW was enjoyable but the spark wouldnt grow to a flame, so I pulled the trigger and changed the brand.

I think you just threw cold water on your spark.

Looks good, hope you love it!

PS, clean the wheels, they are horribly dirty.

No, much more to it. Mainly it 'sandblasts' the surface grit into the paint, instead of washing it away. And there's all the plastic and trim bits you will peel off the car; and the water getting forced up into places it isn't supposed to, causing troubles for later (sunroof, windshield trim, etc.). Save it for the siding and driveway, unless it has a real low pressure setting.

Garage List
Just realized my PC is almost 6 years old...too slow.

Went a tad off brand (well, for me anyway), as I've been a Dell, HP, IBM guy for the past few. Was rocking an i7-2600 3.6GHz w/16GB RAM in an HP Pavilion...but alas, it's too slow.

CyberpowerPC - Liquid cooled
- i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core
- 24GB DDR4
- 128GB SSD for the OS
- 2TB 7200 HDD for storage
- NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB video

Hope it's better for photoshop Also popped for a 4 yr extended warranty, as I've heard of concerns on the power supplies with these machines. Didn't cost too much...considering the price of the machine itself.

Also decided to update the wireless router to the Netgear Nighthawk AC2600...cause speeds no good if you can't use it.

That's why you snow foam it first.

The nozzle size of the PSI is important.

Guy's who are professional detailers, have been using PSI washers for years and I've yet to hear any issues or complaints from anyone.

One of the key's is "not" to keep the jet too close and yes I do agree about getting water where you shouldnt, A car is designed for rain not any kind of pressure washing.

Again you have touchless washed at gas stations, that is essentially a PSI washer, nes pas.

I guess any tool in the hand of a "tool" will cause problems.

Have owned BMWs exclusively for my entire life: '99 323i sedan, '00 330i sedan, '08 335i coupe and '11 135i coupe, all of which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Decided to try something different and picked up a '17 Corvette Grand Sport recently.

What made you choose the Grand Sport over the other trim levels (price potentially being the biggest factor I realize).

I'd like to get a Vette someday too - I've heard they've done a lot of good suspension work on it over the recent years and the front doesn't feel as "floaty" at higher speeds anymore.

Denied. Canadians can't handle that kind of power.

Handle is a ubiquitous word. So maybe, maybe not - depends on your definition.

But the way we can put that power to the ground in a lurid, smoky manner while maintaining a controlled oversteer would put you and the rest of the geriatrics in your state to shame.

For shame.

Wat?!!? Snow doesn't smoke when tires spin on it.

Price was probably the biggest factor as you assumed. I got the base 1LT trim Grand Sport with minimal options but it was still about $12-$15k less than a comparable Z06 even after factoring the huge discounts dealers were offering back in February. That amount is not an insignificant sum for me. As it were, going from a '11 135i to a Grand Sport is already a big stretch. Honestly, the Z06's 650 hp/650 tq also scares me so the Grand Sport is a nice stepping stone since it has all the Z06's massive brakes/tires, aero and suspension but the base Stingray's more than adequate power.

I've never driven an older Corvette before so I can't compare with the previous generation but my Grand Sport feels rock solid at high speed. Way more so than all my previous BMWs, two of which I picked up via European Delivery and have hit 150 mph on the Autobahn.

Well enjoy! Certainly nice to have all the stopping bits of the Z06 in there. You aren't really missing anything by not driving an older vette. I drove a buddy's old stingray - the front end gets very light and you sense that through the wheel. It is very disconcerting.

I then drove a vette that was about 2006 or so (can't remember exact year - part of a exotic tour experience) and it had improved drastically over the old stingray, but still a little light in the front at higher speeds. But I had recently read that they had made significant strides in the suspension set up recently. I think - did they put the magnetorheological system in the new Vette's now? I've read lot's of good things about that system for several years now.
