Southern California is one of the most populated places on earth where a car is mostly necessary (SoFla and NY/NJ are up there, but not really close). So more people driving/more cars/more nut cases/more fake badges. 🤣

NY/NY is easy to survive without a car. There is lots of good public transportation.

You want to go to a place where you need a car? Try Houston. Next to zero public transportation. Also lots of BMW's and very few fake badges. Because people don't align their personality / status to their car like they do in SoCal. At least not as much.

Yeah, Houston is a good call, though I meant more - NY adjacent, like the people in NY/NJ that don’t work in the city.

nothing wrong with being a nut case.... I can just picture myself as a nut case if I have to drive in SoCal traffic on a daily basis. My friend lives near Disney and commutes on the 405. A few years ago, I was visiting and she drove me to the airport... at 105mph... in somewhat congested traffic I wasn't sure if I was fearing for my life or getting arrested as an accomplice to something. (but she did get me to LAX safely...) Now that I think about it, she was also guilty of fake-badging. She had a fake AMG badge on her E420.
