You’re probably right - count me out as being interested as a result.

Good Lord I did not see that bump myself. Good spot and agree, hard to believe it's a series non M car.

At the end of the day, it matters not what the 2 Series coupe looks like but what the M2 looks like. The F22 looks nowhere near as good as the F87, and I expect a similar trend with this new generation.

If they get the new 2 series right then hopefully the M2 should look better. The F22 is still a good looking coupe IMO

Ooo exciting, when do you reckon they will reveal the new 2nd generation 2 series coupe?

July 2021 is when production commences for the G42

Here's a link to the future models thread

Bmw should maybe try these cars where the winter conditions are more real and the use of salt is so extensive that the cars ages 2-3 years faster then the average car who drives only in where it is snow like on the pictures.

For example where i live pretty much in the middle of Sweden we have very few days with snow conditions like that its mostly -2c to +4c during winters and constant rain and salt on the roads so it won't freeze during nights. So a car pretty much ages around 2-3 years faster when driven here compared to other parts of the country. I hate the use of salt on the roads....
That's one of the many "great" things about Seattle, we'd rather crash our cars than salt the roads (or put winter tires on!)

The Testing in the nothern regions is meant for cold climate testing of all systems in really cold conditions, for that they need -10C and more. Also traction fine tuning is done on full snow roads.
It is not for corosion tests of the car. These things are done in the labs at the facilities.

And on top of that, also not ideal for them to test prototypes where there is "a lot" going on, where you mainly find roads like in your picture
Even up there in the north, they're constantly in front of camera lenses

Saw one of the 2 Series camo cars driving around while I was running. Proportions look decent honestly.

There also was a camo’d 2 Series Gran Coupe following it which I thought was interesting.

Surprised we have not seen any "less camo" or "no camo" shots recently.

And this isn't the M2 just the 2er Coupe

Hopefully the Gen2 M2 is absolutely menacing by comparison
