Hello everyone,

my name is Nikos and I am from Greece.

I am a huge BMW fan in general, and even bigger fan of the 1 series in particular.
I was working as an automotive journalist for about 10 years here in Greece and I had worked for the local editions of EVO magazine and TOP GEAR magazine among others.

Now I am in the construction business (I work as a construction manager) and I drive a Mazda MX5 1.6 with a Torsen LSD diff and some other minor mods (opened intake, free flow cat, Lotus Elise bucket seats, reinforced rear anti roll bar mounts, custom made wooden gear knob).

I enjoy driving in the twisties and I like drifting whenever possible.
I plan on buying a BMW 120d coupe in the next months and I found this nice forum as I was searching for some info about LSD diffs for the 1.:roundel:

My name is Chris and I am going in to test drive the 135i tomorrow. After having a terrible test drive of the Mercedes Benz C350, I have been very interested in the 1 series. I have been reading all different kinds of posts on this forum and it has quickly become one of my favorite forums and cars. I may be coming back to post again.

I've looked around but I am still confused. When people say they paid $600 under MSRP or $700 over invoice, are they talking about the price they paid of the car with the options including taxes, or before. Is that how much they paid out the door, like they signed a check and it was their's for that price? Thanks.

i got $750 under MSRP with all the options included but before taxes and fees.

hi all. i finally decided to register because i just picked up my 135i coupe last week.

i've been wanting to get a second car for awhile and didn't really know what i wanted - only that it had to be a fun, high performance car. browsing around the internet (very familiar with the E46 scene as i have an 01 330ci), i came across this site. i have to say, you guys are responsible for piquing my interest, sending me off to the dealership to drive the car, and ultimately dropping $43k on a car when i was supposedly "just looking around to see what's out there" :biggrin:

anyway, i haven't regretted a second of it yet. hope to enjoy the car in stock form for a few months, see what you all are doing with yours, and modify it once the aftermarket starts gearing up....

btw, i haven't seen a single 1 on the streets except mine...isn't that strange? i live in south florida too, where even six-figure new car models don't take a long time to be seen...

Hello!! I've been reading the 1addicts threads for quite some time (during my car research phase), but only joined after I made the leap of faith by ordering my 135i just a few days ago. I'm extremely thrilled BMW decided to bring the 1-series to the States. As an American living in the UK, I was one of the first to own the new 1-series (2004 120i Sport). Even to this day after driving the car for a few years now, every time I step in and push-start the ignition, I get really excited. The car is such a thrill to drive!! And now it's just a natural progression as I move back to the US, I purchase a new 135i. My 120i is nice, but I always thought it needed a bit more power. And now I get over 300HP! I can't wait!!!!
