He's happy the Lakers won, so what? Get over it. No need to call someone a dumbass or a nutrider.

40 points, 8 boards, 8 dimes, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and 1 TO, can you let the guy get a little excited?

I love it when people try to diminish Kobe's game. It shows how little they know about basketball.

You see Magic's interview today? Larry Bird said it's his favorite player to watch. Robert Horry said he's far, far ahead of Lebron. At the end of the game in the Gold Medal game in the Olympics, who did they defer to? Kobe. Who did they look to for the big shots? Kobe. Who defended the opposing team's best perimeter player every night? Kobe.

When there's a poll of the GMs on who you want to take the last shot and they say Kobe, what does that tell you?

Lebron is a great, great talent and has tons of potential. The guy will only get better. Why must people like you try to diminish his game? Jealousy perhaps? What's your team twinturbo?

btw, didn't you predict the Nuggets to win?

we aren't diminishing his game. He is amazing but he needs the players around him to succeed and win playoff games. He couldn't do it by himself couple of years ago.

Why so intense?

How are we trying to diminish kobe's game?

Larry bird can say he's the favorite player to watch but where does he mention that he is better than Lebron

Robert Horry was team mates with Kobe for how many seasons? How many titles have they won together? Obviously he is bias...

Coming from someone who is unbias such as Jerry West who helped put Kobe to be in LA.. why would he mention that Lebron suprass Kobe out of no where?

Quote:
Even though it's hard for me to be objective, because I brought Kobe to Los Angeles, I do think LeBron has surpassed Kobe as a player.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4178437

They would want kobe to take the last shot, but overall player, I am pretty sure people will choose Lebron.

All your supporting evidence are pretty bias. If you actually follow up with Kenny, Charles, and Ernie. Just last week, they said that if Lebron was in the Lakers, they can easily win 70-80 games..easily... I guess they are just jealous of Kobe also?

I live in the Bay Area, my team is Warriors but they are a major fail after Baron Davis and Monte Ellis are gone.

I predicted the Nuggets to win because the Pau and Odom didn't step it up. Well obviously it changed the last 2 games against the Nuggets. Not only that, ESPN poll showed the nuggets 33% chance of winning the Championship, 33% for Magics, and ~10% for Cavs and Lakers.

Why did you mention Lebron when he's not even the topic of conversation? Oh yea, that's right, to try to diminish Kobe's game.

Horry said Hakeem was the best center of all time.

They are just talking to talk. Has any team won 70-80 games easily? No. Period.

Oh yeah, Monte and Baron have recently said Kobe is the best player in the game.

Anyways, Lebron's season is over.

Tell me again, why did you mention LBJ? Oh right, not to diminish Kobe at all. Answer this question?

FAIL.

There is no player in the NBA that could do it by themselves. Period.

Lebron had a good supporting cast. He has very good shooters around him and another all-star in Mo Williams. He also has some good defensive players as well. They just were a terrible matchup against the Magic.

Anyways, last time I checked the Cavs are out of the playoffs.

They flip flop who the think is the best all season. I guarantee you if you hear from the TNT guys again this season, they'll say Kobe is the best. That's what they do.

I'm just happy I get to see them both play.

Lakers > Warriors.

Case closed, End discussion.

And so it was that Jerry West's opinion ended the discussion and closed the case. I doubt it LOL.

Lakers > Warriors.
Why, just because he's in the nba finals? Like you said, you can't do it single handed..Obviously Lebron's team mates are lacking. Yes, they have 1 all star but he is inconsistent in the playoffs. The only person that is actually consistent is Lebron. It's been mention countless time by ESPN and the commentors that Lebron doesn't have the back up he needs..

Are you mad at the last comment? Got to put some kiddish comment.. Lakers > warriors?

He was/is a father figure to Kobe. Probably one the best NBA talent evaluator. Basically his opinion is much more valued than Horry, Monte, Baron, etc. LOL

Although I know who Jerry West, LeBron, and Kobe are, I don't know keep up with basketball much anymore. I do, however, know quite a bit about arguments. Whenever someone says case closed during an argument that centers around opinions, whether it be yours, mine, or Jerry West's, it's seldom that the case is ever truly closed. It sounds tautological, but if they're close enough in talent that the argument can be had, it will be had, and it likely won't end any time soon. That was my only point.

What are we arguing about here? I never said his teammates played well. If ANYTHING, we can agree on that. The Cavs team that Lebron has is much better than the team the Lakers had in the playoffs several years ago that you compared it to (Smush Parker, Brian Cook, Chris Mihm, Kwame? etc..)

And how is Lakers > Warriors a kiddish comment? I was just saying that to mess with you. lol.

It wasn't necessary. Obviously the Lakers are better than the Warriors. If we had our old line up then maybe that is questionable..

For the record I think Lebron is a great player. I still think Kobe is a better player at the moment. He is definitely a more skillful player. However, due to Lebron's clear physical advantages over everyone in the league, he might end up the greatest player of all-time. Even more so than MJ. Time will only tell though, he's young and has a whole career ahead of him. There's a few guys in the league that were just as athletic as Kobe or even better. There's no one in the league that is athletic as Lebron (talking about a combination of agility, speed, strength, etc).

I also feel Shaq could've been the greatest of all-time ever if he was dedicated just because of how physically dominant he was.

Anyways, so the Magic better adjust for game 2. If they lose it, the series is over IMO.

Old lineup isn't geared for playoff ball IMO. Small ball = entertaining but hardly ever successful in the playoffs. Plus Nelly ball = Poor defense. You want to be successful in the NBA? Get some vets with playoff experience.
