We had a storm move through on Wednesday that brought mild rain, but strong straight line winds that caused a good bit of damage and power outages throughout the Ark-La-Tex. It did leave us with lower temperatures, but only for Thursday. We've quickly climbed back to the excessive heat levels from earlier in the week!

We just received a Second Alert that a Heat Advisory has been issued, from 8 PM this evening to 8 PM Sunday. Area temps are now at 98* w/ 112* Heat Index!

Several thunderstorms are moving across the area with loud booming, frequent lighting and extremely heavy downpours. Certainly hasn't been a boring weather day.

Well, here we were having a nice after dinner drink on the deck when all of a sudden the sun disappeared and the sky opened-up and stuff was flying everywhere. I'm sure I heard through the trees " Build an Ark...Build an Ark..." Could have been the fruity wine.

Early morning temperatures were in upper seventies with humidity levels about the same. Had some cloud cover early morning, so washed two cars before it heated up by midmorning. Current temperature is 93* with a 109* Heat Index. Heat Advisory says we're expected to reach an Index Value up to 112*, not a far jump from where we are already.

It's presently 75°F with humidity of 36% and a dewpoint of 46° here in SW Ohio.
Being originally from California, these are data points we characterized as "La Jolla Weather", which we considered to be perfect. They were there then, and it is here now.
