Waning Gibbous Moon by dcstep, on Flickr

Moon this morning. It's waning, so notice that the shadow is on the other side of the moon from the waxing moon shots that Ed and I posted earlier in the thread.

I processed this darker than it appears to the eye, to show more detail clearly.

Nice ones Dave. I actually shot the moon this morning when I left the house as well, but i haven't downloaded the card yet. You cant go ten minutes without seeing a red-tail around here right now. The migrants are mixing with the locals. Of course I can never resist shooting whenever I see one!

They do indeed. You got the eye in the sunlight in your shot which is nice. I always seem to get their head in a shadow when they get close.

Great pheasant shot! I went up to the wildlife refuge today in hopes of seeing one, but sadly not much luck. They had a fire there a week or so ago and it got damn near the visitor center. I'm really hoping for rain this year.
