I've been around a few groups of guys back in my trading days who used technical analysis (my own group was more stat arb). A couple guys made a decent living, say $150k/yr, but most didn't survive more than a couple years. It also didn't seem very scalable. I never quite understood the motivation behind why it should work other than how decades ago most trading was done by humans (not algos) and there was some sort of psychology at play. Interesting to find this thread, brings me back to the good ol' days.

Granted, the pharmas have been doing well as a whole, but I figure if they're getting new facilities, it might mean they're doing more research.

Here's a list of some of the companies I've seen come across in the past two years:

REGN: ~$200 when I started, now at $571
BMY: ~$30 to $$65
SAN:EN: ~$75 to $90
VRTX: ~$50 to $125
BAX: this one's a little tricky since the stock split, but they are working on some major construction that's going to be complete next year.

P&G is the latest large project that has come through:

If you guys are interested, I'll post if I see anything major come through.
There hasn't been much activity in this thread recently. Where's mact??

It looks like some of the companies I posted last year are down. Here are some other new and up and coming construction from pharma companies though if anyone is interested.

These companies aren't yet public, but might be ones to watch:
Crispr Therapeutics, Ginko Bioworks

And here are the ones that are public:
Shire (SHPG) - They have been making a lot of moves recently, including buying Baxalta(BAX)
Mondelez (MDLZ) - Food and not pharma, but they are doing some construction.
Bristol Myers (BMY) - They are still renovating and growing. It also looks like they are up 25% over my post last year.
AtraZeneca (ADR) - They are about to start some major construction.

The thing about Pharma is that they eithier hit or miss. My neighbor is in that business and they could be there 20-35 years before they make that big discovery.

I'm only 24 so I'm still paying off school loans and all that fun stuff but stocks are fun! So currently I'm in
EXEL - waiting for full FDA or buyout
PYPL - I use venmo and paypal all the time so i figured if I use it a lot of people must.
NSPR - just bought the dip and seeing where that goes

If this is not allowed please kindly let me know!

I'm still long on Ford.

Have small amounts in ADVT, CNAB & CANN because maybe they blow up & if not, I'm still ok.

NEPT up 110% since 1.68... 3.30s now and its in my IRA so I'm long on it probably a 10-15 dollar stock in a year timeframe if their trials go well, really mimics my IMMU ride from 1.90 to 17 lol

Waiting on a dip to get back into PHOT rode that from .004 to .0495 made a killing

Playing with a stock called PDXP its .003 bought at .0038 rode to .0064 then got out waited on the dip, bought back in at .0025 and now at .003 getting ready to run again just gotta be out on the dips cause it dips hard. But tons of fun

OPGN after their split up about 80% today.

Xxii looking to run more
