Gold? No baby, platinum. Please don't get it confused again. You've done that several times now as you've made this exact same statement over and over

Volkswagen Golf R isn't looking too bad either...lower numbers, but a quick tune to the turbo can change all that.

I've seen a Golf R or two on the road. Definitely the stealth choice. Even more stealthy than a GTI, somehow.

That's because of your color choice.

That's why I threw in a turbo tuned Golf R. That would easily take a RS. I like both cars, so either way.

You mean nobody can see all the M badges?? I think your definition of stealth is very much different from my definition of stealth...

OK - I will concede that point... I have thought about debadging, but meh. I just mean it doesn't stand out like a 'vette or a 911 or something. Most people don't look at the badges and just thing it is some random 3 series. We, in this forum, are not most people.

You live in FLORIDA... the girls there know what a M car is... If the quad pipes aren't a giveaway, or the hood bulge, or the 1314 badges... Or the V8 engine noise...

Side note... I miss my e92 now... *SIGH* engine noise...

Speaking of engine noise, isn't *SIGH* what the F80/F82 sound like now, jtodd_fl?

No, they don't. They only know if it's a BMW, Merc or Audi.

Only dudes know and very few of them at that.

I've de-badged for as long as i can remember owning cars. At least a few times a year i'd catch people circling my car in a parking lot, walking all around trying to figure out which model it is. I've been eating on a patio within about 10 from my car and listened to their conversations while they were investigating.

It's somewhat comical.

Why Sara, I'm rooting for you to find a nice guy!

I just wish you'd stop with the "platinum" digging and find someone you can build something together with for your sake and your kid. I'm not saying find any hobo, or Belgie but don't rule out people based on their status...if you're looking for salt and pepper, there is a reason they are older, single and looking for a younger women...douchebags. They probably owe alimony and child support...so no Valentino shoes for you.

This. They totally don't know. My wife can spot them easily know, because we have been through the tells... single double, double single, double double... the intakes, the bump, etc... but that is because she wanted to know. If I wanted to bang a bi-curious MALE car aficionado, the M3 is my ride for that. But since I am straight and married, it is of little for this type of thing. The thing is a sausage magnet.
Mr Tonka you are making a compelling case for debadging. I may have to reconsider.
