I don't have the reception issue. I tried holding my phone to cover the whole area, no noticeable change. Maybe I have too good of reception here but I don't see it an issue as I don't hold my phone that low.

You can pick up the iphone4 at the apple store. Up to and including the 3g, you had to have the FAN removed before purchasing in an apple store and have it reapplied after. Or you would have to just go to ATT. With the 3GS they improved the process, and you no longer needed to have the FAN removed to purchase in an apple store. With the Iphone4, they improved the process even more...allowing authorized users to upgrade in the apple store. Previously you had to be the primary account holder or had to go to the ATT store if you were an authorized user.

What does "Cellular Data" do? It's under Settings>General>Network. What happens if I click "No"? This wasn't on my 3GS.

No internet for you over the cellular network. Bet it is another safety feature to protect you from using data internationality and get charged big bucks.

The discoloration? That's said to be normal. It should disappear after a bit. Something about the bonding process of the display.

I had the same thing on mine when i picked it up this morning. They swapped it out on the spot. Of course, at the time no one knew this was "normal".

damn my bars fluctuate constantly. sometimes it has no bars when it's left alone and then it starts to gain bars when i touch it.

Not to dog on the iPhone just to dog on it, but....

I remember one of the earlier iPhones (I believe my 3GS) was terrible at one point with reception and dropping calls right after release.... IMO it's great that it does all this "neat" and convenient stuff, but goddamn.... It's still supposed to be a phone first, right? Just seems shitty that they keep ignoring that.

how do you activate FaceTime? I know the other user needs an iPhone 4 but how does your phone know they have it. it states you can scroll through your contact list and tap the facetime button. my contact don't have this button.
