My Doc Martens Cambers are my go to's in colder weather. During summer months my Palladiums are lightweight and comfy.

I have some very similar Adidas. A black leather upper with a chunky white rubber sole is "timeless".
The boots are nice, not my style though. Id rock em as a gift.
I keep forgetting about the "kicks" thread. I'm stoked about the K-Swiss. I've been trying to find some earth tone shoes for the winter that aren't boots and the Palladiums will be primarily for work for winter months.

My AVR shit the bed, so I had one of my clients order me an Anthem MRX-720. Not only does Anthem gear sound really great, but I wanted to experiment with the latest iteration of their room correction. I usually don't employ room correction, but I am curious to experiment with their latest generation "Genesis" Anthem Room Correction. I may end up moving to separates (separate preamp/processor, and amplifier(s)) in the future, but I this is plenty good for now.

11.2 with Atmos...definitely a beast! I would definitely look into separates! I always believed in letting the AVR do all the processing and leave all the power duties for the amps

I keep contemplating Adidas GSG 9.2. I don't like the military "style"/association but people claim they are very comfortable, like sneakers(?), and that's tempting. They feature a dry feet (Gore-Tex like?) technology which is a must for winter boots, I believe. In my experience dry feet are more important to keep them warm than insulation.

Last time I chose Adidas Terrex Conrax Boa Ch Cp. They are very nice , insulated, but they feel nowhere like sneakers I love to wear so much. I use them in frosty weather only.

As part of my new home automation they demonstrated an Arcam AVR850 and the sound was amazing - but as of yesterday, I ordered the Arcam AVR30 which just came out to replace it. Can't wait - as my Martin-Logan speakers all have the ARC capability built in.

Very cool! I was looking at the new gear from Arcam while at CEDIA last month. I always liked their stuff. I know the Dirac Live room correction they use generates impressive results, especially in the bass region.

May I shamelessly recommend you consider KEF speakers? What's better than using the most legendary British speaker manufacturer along with your British AVR!

I'll have a look at the KEF, but at this stage I'm very partial to the Martin-Logan electrostats!

Palladium Pampa Hi Lite + CB

They're on sale for half off on Nordstrom Rack, here: https://www.nordstromrack.com/shop/p...i-lite-cb-boot

Mine should be here next week. I'll report back once I have them.

Everything Big Marcus stated. I've got another pair I've had for a couple of years now. Very Durable and highly recommended. The company also has a great history, read up on how they came into being. Very interesting story.

Fair enough. I really like electrostats, but I find the sweet spot way too small for anything but a single-position listening room. Enjoy the search!

A ASSumed that it was for the bidet function, which is why PoorLurker would never need to look for toilet paper again.....

I was going to ask the same thing. I would hope, that if power is required for operation, that at a bare minimum that a heated seat would be incorporated.
