Everyone remember this season will have a pause in November and December for World Cup. This season is going to be crazy for sure and it just started.

Maybe it's a chemistry or ego thing? Anyway, he put Ronaldo in as a late-game sub, and I swear at one point he stood absolutely still on the same blades of grass in the midfield for over a minute not even making a half-hearted effort to get involved with the play.

Arsenal made a few painful cuts of talented/franchise players in the off-season that I attribute to chemistry/ego clashes in their locker room, and you can see the results this season. I suspect that United will need to look hard at the positives versus negatives of having Ronaldo around, and make a similar decision.....
Ronaldo is pushing for a move. I think there's enough smoke. He's done a few things as well out of frustration. ETH might think he's more problem than solution.
As far as benching the captain (what a joke of a captain), he wanted more mobility in defense and Martinez is that and more. Maguire will be rotated from here on out.

Arsenal is still undefeated and at the top of the table after a nail-biter win over Fulham today!

Looks like Liverpool finally realized that the season has started, putting up nine goals in one match today.....

Relegation predictions? My guess is Bournemouth, Wolves and Forest. With Everton only clearing Forest by 3-5 points.

Arsenal is now 5-0-0, and still alone at the top of the table following today's win over Aston Villa!!!!!

fn gooners. gotta give it to them...they're playing out of their minds.

meanwhile...spurs midfield is looking awfully spursy. yeah, it's a london derby, but west ham has barely shown a pulse this season...spurs shouldve nabbed 3 pts!

I though Forest would be better with all that spending. But looks like they might get relegated and yeah probably Bournemouth. Not Wolves, i'd say Villa

Forest doesn't even have a major sponsor, the front of their shirt is blank . . .

Ya I thought Forest would be better as well, could still see them turning it around. I think Villa have too much class on their team to be relegated. Don't think they will get relegated but Leicester have also looked horrible so far this season

Yeah i might switch form Villa to Leceister, after they lost fofana. Maddison and Vardy may not be enough to keep them up. I don't rate Gerrard lol

Be careful what you wish for. Whomever they end up hiring to be the new manager, I get the feeling the players are going to be motivated to prove the doubters wrong. I just think Tuchel lost the team and wasn't able to recover. They need new blood to reinvigorate the squad. They've clearly got the talent to get the job done. Question is who will they bring on to be the next manager. I heard a rumor that Graham Potter may be a target even though he's currently at Brighton. That could be interesting.

I hope they don't get Potter, he might work his magic on that team like he's done at Brighton. However, when i look at Chelsea's squad it's really weird. Let Lukaku go but brought in Auba? How is that an upgrade. Paid a shit ton for both Cucarella and Fofana, good players but meh. Then Kulibaly? Pretty old.

Yeah, Potter won't likely leave but thought it was an interesting rumor. You're right about the weirdness that is Chelsea. Bringing in decent talent but they didn't seem to fit under Tuchel's leadership. Maybe it really was an issue with his coaching style. Rumor has it the locker room environment was not good. Maybe ownership had no alternative but to let him go, especially considering how poorly they've played thus far.

I don't like the players they brought in. I mean Cucarella hasn't done shit. He simply passes the ball back-and-forth with his left foot and that's about it. He's horrible at taking corners. Just don't understand that one at all. Koulibaly has been okay actually. There are worse recent acquisitions IMO. Their keeper Mendy has been terrible. He always tries to be cute with the ball at his feet and pays dearly for it. Inexcusable. He rarely places the ball in an effective location when he gets goal kicks with zero pressure on him. One of the worst I've ever seen, period.

We'll see about Fofana but I think they paid too much for him. I wish they had gotten Frenkie de Jong though he's a midfielder. Auba? I don't get that one at all. Old man and I don't think he's going to be bringing them more goals which is what they desperately need. At least Sterling seems to be working out for them so far.

I just heard that Potter is actually the frontrunner for taking over at Chelsea. Brighton has given him permission to speak with Chelsea, wow.

Other possibilities are of course Pochettino but there's also a dark horse in Zinedine Zidane. That might be interesting as well.

Lord I hope not. I'm more pissed they let the physio go who finally had a healthy team. Doesn't surprise me that the season after he leaves half the team gets injuries.
