I saw one of the most beautiful woman crossing an intersection albeit she had to angle in to make the crossing in time. This early 2000's 320i, honked at her! To be honest, BMW's have the ugliest car horns in the industry.

Really curious if this could be true from another forum.

"Not sure you can add all that tech (hybrid) and lower the weight."

"It's actually very simple, and one is related to the other. For hybrid you need batteries. I read on an Australian tech site that Toyota has a completely different type of batteries in pre-production now. They become lighter when charged!

Actually, above 50% charge the battery has negative inertial mass - but still it has positive gravitational mass, i.e. weight.

So you are still pushed down by gravity acting on the gravitational mass, giving you grip. But the inertial mass of the battery is negative, up to negative 1600 lbs at full charge, so the car accelerates as if it was ~1200 lbs. The electric part of the hybrid adds 90 HP on top of 200 from the gas engine, making about an equivalent of 4.13 lb/HP with grip of a 2800-lb car.

There are some kinks still that need to be worked out.."

Well I'm ignorant, no idea how that is even possible. Warp 5 Mr. Sulu!

What's the point of Toyota being in WEC including LeMans if they don't have any products to offer the patron who watches these things race?
