I get bored when around people. It's always the same and you can't do anything insane when you want to. Hell, I don't even go to holidays with my spouse. This summer I've been away mostly fishing with the kids or doing maaaaany idiotic road trips with them. He's been at home enjoying air conditioning and peace.

My really old friends get it. They don't even bother to invite me to their parties if they are not at their cabins and they don't have a project for me there. Being social just so one can be social is just so damn social!

On my wife's side, she too has a close male friend, and at first, I found it weird. I think men find this stuff more weird than women, meaning men are less level-headed about a close friend deal. Anyway, I've become friends with this guy, and when we were in FLA, we visited his parents.

Long a** story short, people can remain friends after marriage. I bet more often than not, they don't.
