Why do you think he's been smoking anything......

Those that want to see the end of fossil fuel power generation way ahead of it's natural end, are not living in the real world of what are you going to replace it with to not only meet the current demand, but the massively increased demand in the future. Sticking you head in a hole in the ground and going la-la-la 'renewables and technology' blah-blah is not a real world solution....not that the world politicians care about that - they just want to appease and be seen to be doing something about nothing.

In any case, the smaller Tesla SUV (called the Model Y as someone noted earlier) will reportedly be similar in aesthetic to the Model X, which again the X4 will more closely resemble than the X3. On that same note, I still think a future G2x 4GC could make a better foil to the Model 3 than the G20.
The plans referred to suggest an X4 Type crossover coupe but not necessarily the X4 itself. An electric 3er is a possibility after initial eDrive variants.
The next X3/X4 will be offered as a PHEV and very possibly could be the next M PHEV after the M550e.

BMW aim to offer a PHEV within every model line from mid-line upwards from base to M Performance model.
This also includes the Touring's for the first time as the new G31 will offer a PHEV option for the first time as will the next G21 3er Touring.

Great news on G31.
At the same time as the other G31's or later?
