Well there we have it, M4 GTS 11th place in the competition. This is a big win for American Muscle AND Finesse!

I notice 'em, even the run of the mill non-ACR Viper. I literally salute them when I see them. Seriously.

I dont think people notice the Vipers on track since they are a handful and for anyone to even get the performance out of them are going to have their hands full plus are pro's.

The ACR's have always been a force to reckon with on the road course but hardly anyone have had the balls to own one and track it on a regular basis.

Glad to see Audi stepped up the game with the R8 and the GT-R.....its going to be beating by the ZL1 once it debuts. Godzilla had its time to shine, now its the 1LE and ZL1 time to shine. For a much more reasonable price for us everyday Joe's.

I'll have to disagree with this one. My first time driving a viper was at a 4 day Bondurant Racing School in Arizona with a Gen 5 2.0TA. 3 days straight with the same TA 2.0 and last day in a Mazda formula. The car is anything but a handful. It's very predictable and reliable. I had a blast and immediately fell in love with it. You can really go 10/10ths in it and actually be able to explore the limits of the car. Unfortunately, I found the limits mostly due to the tires (2 sets of tire changes in 3 days) and areo, hence the reason I went with an ACR-Extreme.

I know a handful of people that own an ACR-E and track it on a regular basis. Most of these guys use it to set track records and have succeeded.

It just doesn't sound like you've driven one, especially on the track. Go try out a "run of the mill" GTS. Even these ones haul ass like no other.

I'm not surprised the 570S took first place. It's a great car by McLaren. Lose all the techno electronic suspension, complex computers and build a great chassis, tons of driver feedback and tune it for performance. That's what makes a great driving car.

M4 GTS was disappointing... you know BMW can build a better car but they pulled short. M4 GTS should be a showcase of their engineering - not a joke compared to cars 1/2 it's price.

Try anything from 1992-2010 and let me know how it feels. The 2013+ Vipers are a lot more controllable and a force to look out for.

Never driven one but I do read and know part of the history of the Viper from 1992-2010. Especially how very unforgiving the car will be and will "bite" you.

Can't disagree with their choice on the McLaren. It truly is a phenomenal car. Does everything really, really well.

Agreed. It really strikes an excellent balance for cars in this category.
