As for the roundels, i got a BMW brochure with black/white emblems on it. So is BMW of North America not the real BMW anymore? Color does not mean shit. The roundel represents a proppeler(the white part) and the sky(the blue). In my case the sky is black which means nighttime, and the propellor is red. So BMW NA is just as guilty as i am.

Changing the colors of kidney grills and emblems is not the same as putting another companies trademark on your car. Your dumbass is just trying to think of a comeback so you research my car just to be able to say something. Congratulations moron, you officially FAIL.
This is an impressive post. Not only have you managed to demonstrate that you are smart-assed punk (which in retrospect was really already clear), you've also demonstrated that you haven't got the slightest idea what a trademark is. Even more impressively, you've managed to misspell half of your post. But hey, when you don't have anything intelligent to say, just launch into a bunch of personal insults, use some words like "shit" and "FAIL" to pretend you sound hardcore, and maybe no one will notice that you just got called out, right? Good plan.

You've clearly missed my point, which is not surprising given the level of wit you've displayed in your response. Let me be direct:

I don't believe for one second that you care about preserving the sanctity of BMW trademarks when you change the color of your roundels and black out your kidney grilles. You might not like how corona ring headlights look in other cars, which is fair enough. But to suggest that people who install corona ring headlights on non-BMW cars "might as well put the roundels on there [sic] cars" is a complete joke.

What about the Hofmeister kink? That is on many non-BMWs. Any issues there?

Oh i am so very sorry that i don't spell check my posts! Please forgive me!
Get real, spelling and grammer does not mean anything on an internet forum. Oh and since when is "shit" and "fail" pretending to sound "hardcore"? Get a life, this is an internet forum, people curse and mis-spell all the time. How dare you say that i am making personal insults on you, when you are the one who researched me.
Cut the personal attacks out, the only time when a person ever brings up the other persons spelling is when they have nothing better to say and want to sound more intelligent.
As for black kidney grills, i already responded to this and will not repeat myself.

As for roundels, BMW of North America is as guilty as I am. They give out brochures and pamphlets with black/white roundels. You are trying to act like such a smart-ass when in reality you are just a person who has nothing going for yourself, so you can and personally attack people on the internet.

Goodjob buddy, you are super hard now! I wish i could be more like you! I bet thats what you wish people would think.

I might as well repeat myself one last time, because it seems as though you do not comprehend sentences very well unless they are repeated.

If the owner of a BMW decides to mess around with BMWs trademarks, it is NOTHING like taking one of Audis trademarks.
According to your remark, changing the color of kidney grills is as bad as putting Ferrari emblems on my car.
They are NOTHING alike, nor are they even on the same level.
I admit, changing roundel color is messing with the trademark, but nowhere near as bad as taking another companys trademark.

You, my good sir, will most likely just continue on with your "intelligent" remarks on how my grammer or spelling is off. I could honestly care less, you have just proved yourself to be extremly close-minded and you have no intetion of listening to what anyone has to say.
So Goodbye, thank you for the debate.

Thank you for proving virtually all of my points.

I'll end with the same advice with which I began: settle down.

messing with is different then stealing it.

BMW with tampered BMW parts= messing with
Non-BMW car with BMW trademark item, in this case the "angel eye" (first debuted on the E39 5 series)=

taking from another company's trade mark, and though it may just be for looks purposes and not posing purposes, it's still considered taking from another, or at least associated with the actual brand,
i.e. seeing a civic with angel eyes reminds of a BMW.

I think Audi's should stick to retro fitting the LED strips instead of using angel eyes, or should buy new S models so that they can have the LED's.

The illuminated light rings should stay a bmw thing. You dont us in the BMW world putting HUGE ass BMW badges in the center of grilles like our "dark side" company, mercedes-benz, does.

Clearly, they are different, and I'm not suggesting otherwise. My point is simply that I'm having a hard time understanding why Sam would flip out about seeing someone copy a BMW trademark (and I think its debatable whether corona rings are even a trademark) when he doesn't even respect the BMW trademarks on his own car. He may think those people are posers or whatever, but pretending to be offended on behalf of the BMW brand is disingenuous at best, and hypocritical at worst.

And, I don't care how anyone tries to spin it, putting corona ring headlights (or any other distinctive car feature, such as the Hofmeister kink, the kidney grill, or LED strips) on a civic is NOT the same thing as putting a roundel on a civic. The roundel is not a functional automotive element or even a distinctive a design feature. It is the proclamation of the BMW brand. Corona rings are just nice looking headlights.
