1st December is the date they go up in our house. Doesnt feel "Christmassy" if they have been up for 8 weeks by the time 25th December arrives.

Plus the wife wants to get all the presents under the tree straight away.....and the dog wants to remove them to her crate....

As an FYI the annual passes are on sale for $100 off through the end of this week. But the annual pass doesn’t include the Downton Abbey Exhibition. Also, you may already know, but reserving a time in advance to tour the house is recommended. It was pretty packed today. Have a great trip!

I just can't eat and enjoy my Thanksgiving turkey with the next holiday's decorations staring at me.

One holiday at a time in my house. Friday after though...good bye Autumn leaves and hello sparkly Christmas stuff!

How do you keep the cats out of all that fun stuff inside?

My wife ignores them when they get into mischief, but I'm so OCD about something being out of place I would drive myself crazy!!!

funny...they don't climb any of the trees but they do like to sleep under it when the lights are on. Nayla tho like to nip at a lot of the Christmas stuff. but so far they've been good not to ruin anything.

Today I learned that there are really no outdoor/waterproof usb Connections for Christmas fairy lights. So I'm going with a solar powered 66ft set to wrap my front tree. I'll have pictures Wednesday after the lights arrive

Then we got some snow so that delayed me another couple days. But went out in the 30 degree weather and got it done!

Finally put up the tree this past weekend and of course the wifey wanted all new ornaments. So finished decorating it last night.

It threw me for a moment as I thought I could see a figure in the glass of the door until I figured out it was the reflections of the lights from the tree and entryway.

I LOVE inflatables! And happen to own a 12tf Santa and Frosty. Unfortunately, even with the anchors, wind gusts can be brutal. Last year I tried putting them up only to have them blown down multiple times.
